We checked in about mid-afternoon with no reservation, asking for 2 rooms, next to each other, one smoking, one not, preferably with king beds. Able was at the front desk. He made the best effort possible to get us exactly what we asked for, even though it was still early and some rooms were still being cleaned. We ended up with 2 suites, only 1 door apart, for the standard room rate(!), since he took great care to get us rooms that were already cooled down with the a/c on. Since it was a 100 deg day, we were very appreciative of that! We didn't make use of the pool or the other amenities, but everything in both rooms, including wireless internet, worked perfectly. We would definitely stay here again the next time we're in San Antonio
