Best Italian Food in Vegas 9/15/2009

Just by luck we found this cute little sidewalk restaurant in the Venetian. The menu looked good and the prices even better. We were completely surprised how good the food was, how big the portions were, and the depth and breath of the menu. My husband and I have been back several times since our first trip- we are locals and can't find any Italian restaurant like its equal in the entire valley. We have even been to almost all the strip's celebrity chefs' restaurants but in most cases disappointed and paid WAY too much. I'll stick with Trattoria Reggiano any day over those expensive trendy restaurants. Pros: awesome food & very reasonable strip prices Cons: having to travel to the strip for an excellent meal more

Wildly Overrated 5/18/2007

My girlfriends and I were simply craving some good Italian pasta and the like. We heard all this stuff about Wolfgang Puck so we thought we would check out Postrio. Boy, did we check into the wrong place. The hostesses were uninviting and unorganized - almost as if they didn't know what to do with us. Once we were seated, the menu was hardly appealing. The server didn't seem like he knew much about the dishes and refused to accomodate our tastes since one of us wanted to substitute the salad for a pasta dish. The dishes were mediocre at best, even though the prices made us expect something better. Perhaps we just caught them on a really bad night...or perhaps every night is 'really bad'. Pros: hmm, the cute guy sitting two tables down? Cons: well, you get the picture. more

Excellent for Large Parties 3/31/2007

We had our wedding reception in one of their private rooms. Everything was A++++. The food, drinks, service, everything - was top notch. Have you ever been to a wedding where you enjoyed your food? Well, ours had great food. All of our guests raved about their meals - it's been almost a year later and people STILL rave about the food at our wedding. We could not have been happier with this restaurant. We will go back to Postrio every time we visit Las Vegas. Pros: food, service Cons: none yet more

Great food, so-so service 11/21/2006

The food was great, but the waiter was new and a little clumsy handling questions about the menu. We went for an early dinner before a show and the restaurant was fairly empty still so there were lots of staff hanging around waiting for customers to show up which is always a little weird. more

Memorable Experience 10/9/2005

My wife and I had a great dining experience at Postrio. I recommend making a reservation in advance to get seated and greated promptly. Simply put, the stuffed Quail was awesome. Very tasty and very unique. Expect to pay at least 70$ + for a dinner and drinks for two. Pros: Great food, Snooty Hostess, Nice Waiter Cons: Expensive more

Excellent 8/29/2004

We dined at Postrio for the time in May and had a wonderful all-around experience. Our waiter was good about providing specific recommendations (both pro and con) rather than saying ""everything is wonderful."" The sommilier was equally helpful. My wife and I had one of our best ever Vegas dinners and look forward to another when we visit over Labor Day Weekend. Definitely follow the advice and ask for an inside table for a quieter, classier atmosphere. Pros: service, food more

Positively Wonderful 8/27/2004

We arrived late for dinner with no reservations. We were treated nicely and seated immediately in the ""outdoor"" section on the mall of the Beautiful Venetian Hotel. Dinner was excellent and the service was perfect. Dessert was fabulous. Pros: Service, Food, Atmosphere more

DISGUSTING 7/24/2004

I LOVE watching wolfgang puck cook, I think he's wonderful so when we planned a trip to vegas I made sure to try one of his restaurants. We ordered the salmon and the john dory fish. The waiter reccommened the john dory and said it was his favorite. Maybe because it was $40. IT WAS ABSOLUTLY HORRIBLE. It was the most plain thing I've ever ever ate. Even the free bread was gross. It tasted like parmesan gold fish crackers. The bill was almost $100 and we barely ate any of it. I was so disappointed and sad. After spending $100 there we walked to the buffet at bellegio and spend another $70. I'm so disappointed in wolfgang :( Pros: Seated promptly, Nice bus boy!! more

simple bites 5/17/2004

This place was good- however on an average scale. The food was flavorful, but not refined. The pizzas were great. However, they don't come with much sauce or none at all. I like pizza like this, but my boyfriend likes sauce, even extra sauce on his pizza, so we ordered some on the side. Overall, an average place to get a bite to eat. I did enjoy the coffee/espresso martini! Pros: martini more

Awesome 3/11/2004

This is the most consistent restaurant in town. The food and the service are amazing. The staff is truly understands hospitality and their level of knowledge about food and wine is mind blowing. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone. Pros: Consistently amazing, Service, Food more

IMPRESSIVE!!! 1/2/2003

I love this restaurant. This was the best dining experience of my life, and believe me I eat a lot. All joking aside, the service, food presentation, and menu selection will keep you coming back. The complementary gourmet breads you dine on make you not want to leave. Worth every penny!!! Pros: Mouthwatering food, Impeccable service, Great value more

One of my best dining experiences 10/28/2002

I expect great dining experiences in Las Vegas, but not superlative ones. My recent dinner at Postrio was one of the best I've ever had. Food was wonderful, notably the classic arugula, apples, and goat cheese salad, along with our steak and seafood entrees. Anniversary wines by the glass for $10 were outstanding and a great deal for the quality. And the service was perfect. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, but not intrusive, and had terrific timing -- he brought everything just when you wanted it. Comfortable, warm, luxurious dining room decor. Moderately expensive price level, but worth it. Truly a memorable meal for us. Pros: Impeccable service, Great food more

Umm-Good-No, Great! 9/22/2002

We had the Quail, which was exquisitely presented and still had room for the Creme Brulee. Service was great and, yes, we took your advice and did not skimp on the bread and butter. Pros: Presentation, Taste Cons: N/A more
