Town & Country Veterinary Hospital

I'm very pleased with the Vets and the care my dogs have gotten at T&C vets. I have been a client for over a decade. However, I would never use the boarding/grooming side of this operation. They are separately owned and operated. I had my old doberman boarded there for 2 nights years ago. I used a harness for him since sometimes he needed some support walking on the leash. When I picked him up the harness was chewed to bits (which they presented to me) because they had never taken it off in 2 days. I would never take another dog there, but am very happy with the vet care side. more

Dr Ashford & Dr Groulx were both extremely helpful to me in making this difficult decision. When the time came, Dr Groulx could not have been more caring if he had been her own furry child. We have had some positive experiences with the kennel at Town & Country, although we recently had an unsatisfactory grooming experience. The owner, who is full of southern charm, worked to resolve my concerns to my satisfaction. My bad experience was with the grooming of our cocker spaniel. She received a very short shave (razor lines and skin showing) rather than the style we discussed. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, I got a shrug from the groomer and was told that's how she does the cut and that it would grow back. The groomer lacks the tact that I am accustomed to in the south. Having a comfortable relationship with our pet's groomer is important to us, so we will find a different groomer. The grounds are very nicely landscaped, however, there is a very bad odor outside the facility. I thought it was the grooming facility, but I have scents (pun intended) found out that the odor is from a neighboring business. I would highly recommend getting in touch with the owner if you have a bad experience because she does care about her business.\r more

My dog was boarded there over the Christmas holiday. When I picked her up, they'd given her a bath. Initially, I thought that was strange, but nice. But when I got her home, I realized her tail was dropping straight down- it was completely limp. I thought it was broken, to be honest. She cringed every time I bent down to pet her for a full week. The vet said her tail wasn't broken, but it was bruised. When I went to T & C to talk with the owner, she said ""nothing happened."" In fact, she said that maybe my dog ""fell off her bed..."" The cots are (maybe) 6"" off the ground- and my dog didn't have a cot. I'll never know what happened, because my dog can't tell me. But I'll never take her there again. Cons: poor care more

Great value, very qualified and always excited to see my dogs! I have a geriatic cat who needs a shot every couple of weeks. There is never any issue with coming in, I just call and they take him that day. I would highly recommend Town and Country. more

Vets are friendly and know what they're talking about, prices are reasonable, staff is great, carry a wide variety of products. Very clean and well kept up and minimal wait time. more

Want to know more about the workings of this kennel, but they only offer tours from 10 - 12 Mon. - Fri. No exceptions - too bad if dog owners work during those hours and cannot get there during those hours. Not impressed with such inflexible rules. Makes me feel something is being hidden. Like day care for children, there should be a way to see the operation in business during any of their business hours. My dogs are like my children to me. I wouldn't drop them off sight unseen. At the minimum they could have one evening or Saturday tour a week for a group of people. Not accomodating in my opinion. more
