As Good & Often Better Than North End Italian Bakeries 10/9/2010

Torretta's now accepts credit cards for purchase of these incredibly scrumptious deserts. Also, Torretta's DOES use fresh whipped cream. Torretta's rivals any Italian bakery in the North End, and that's saying a lot! I'm Italian and I know good Italian pastry. You HAVE to try their sfogliatella. No one makes a better, more crispy, buttery flaky pastry with a creamy filling inside better than Torretta's. But if you're going to try one of these heavenly creations, go on the weekend and get there VERY early. Those babies sell out almost as soon as they're placed inside the glass case. more

THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO GO AND TAKE YOUR CHILDREN, OR EVEN GO INDULGE BY YOURSELF. MY SON LOVES THE CHOCOLATE CAKE SLICES. IM A BIG FAN OF LEMON MERINGUE PIE. I JUST WANTED A SLICE, BUT THEY ONLY SELL BY THE THE WHOLE PIE. SO I WENT FOR IT, IT WAS AFFORADBLE $11.99, HUGE AND DELICIOUS. THE CHEESCAKE IS REALLY GOOD TOO! Pros: CLEAN, POLITE, AND SO YUMMY!! Cons: THEY NEED TO MAKE THEIR PIES INTO SLICES. more
