Consistently on the “best of” in DC lists! Known for their awesome coffee and tea -- but baked goods, sandwiches and salads are also worthy. Cushy couches for conversation indoors...

If there was another coffee shop where St. Elmo's is, it would probably be great too. The coffee is alright, the chai is great, and the pastries are good. The place can get ridiculously crowded and the line moves at a glacial pace. That said, I go there daily. more

THE meet & greet place in Del Ray! 8/4/2005

Consistently on the “best of” in DC lists! Known for their awesome coffee and tea -- but baked goods, sandwiches and salads are also worthy. Cushy couches for conversation indoors (with wireless internet access!), also plenty of outdoor seating. Very kid-friendly (a popular stroller hangout in the daytime) and dog-friendly. Live acoustic music or poetry readings most nights. more
