Best Pizza in Columbus 4/2/2011

This is the best of the Tommy's Pizza locations and Tommy's is the best pizza in town. They bake the pizza quickly so the crust is crispy, but the toppings are still--somehow--fresh. Go for the all-the-way pizza (with anchovies, if you dare!). It's the best on the menu. They do not offer delivery, but they make the pizzas so quickly, that I've found I can order before I leave work, movie theater, etc. and it's ready by the time I arrive. They also serve $1 giant meatballs: keeps the kids happy. more

Excellent 6/6/2006

Tommy's is probably the best pizza in Columbus. They add just the right amount of sauce, and the crust is the perfect combination of crispy and chewy, with perfect airbubbles every so often. Their cheese pizza is probably the best . . . toppings are unnecessary. The pepperonis are small with charred edges, and depending upon your preferences may make the pizza too greasy. The atmosphere is perfect for a college campus . . . nothing fancy, just the basics of OSU decor and a couple of video games. I make a stop at Tommy's everytime I come through Columbus. Pros: seat yourself; laid-back college atmosphere; nothi Cons: can't think of any more

Great za. 7/11/2005

Went to school at OSU and loved Tommy's then and still love it. Anytime we travel to Columbus we stop at Tommy's. Always good. Pros: great taste, inexpensive more

Great Meatballs 7/11/2005

Rushing back to CMH for a flight home, I chanced stopping in Tommy's on East Broad. Excellent meatball sub and couple of the nicest guys behind the counter. Fast, courteous, knowledgable, they got me to the airport in time for my flights. Lived in CMH for 10 years and there were 100's of great pizza joints, but Tommy's subs are GREAT. I know now the pizza must be terrific too. I return to CMH often and will make Tommy's a regular stop on future trips. Sure that the campus location is good for crowd watching too! more

The Absolute Best Pizza in the World!!!!! 3/16/2005

I have no earthly idea how anybody in the Columbus area could pick any pizza other than Tommy's as the best in Columbus. I don't live in Columbus now, but I thought it was the best when I grew up there and I have never tasted any pizza anywhere in the world (literally) that was better!!!!!!! Tommy's is the first place I stop when I get back to Columbus and my family would throw me out of the house if I didn't bring a Tommy's Pizza back with me if I go to Columbus by myself (even cold it is still the best!!!) My only complaint is that it is only in Columbus. Tommy's is absolutely the BEST PIZZA, PERIOD!!!!!!!! ANYWHERE!!!!!!!! Pros: Pizza, Food, Quality more

Tommy's - Simply The Best! 6/2/2004

I have been going to Tommy's forever. The first place I ate when I moved back to Columbus was Tommy's. Their pizza and hot Italian Subs are the best! Dont forget Tommy's new location at RT. 161, just north of Riverside Drive. I give them a 10 for consistently good pizza and subs! Pros: Good Locations, Plenty of parking, Value for your $ more

lifetime lover 4/22/2003

From the time I was a little girl, I've always remembered Tommy's Pizza. As a little girl, Tommy's was the best pizza around. Now that I'm grown, it's always great when we were back in town to get some of that wonderful pizza. As a matter of fact, when my brother-in-law got married, my mother even sent Tommy's Pizza as a gift to the bride and groom for their rehersal dinner. Tommy's Pizza was a favorite of my Grandmother's, and my parents. Now, it's a favorite of my in-law's and my children as well. Of everywhere I've traveled, nothing compares to ""coming home to a Tommy's Pizza"". Pros: friendly workers, delicious, great value Cons: 1 location I know of more

Tommy's is too tasty 1/27/2003

Tommy's makes the [pie the way it should be made. A thin crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and the right amount of whatever topping you decide on. I've been eating pizza for probably 35 years and have found only a couple that compare to Tommy's. Thank God my parents only took me to Tommy's as a child, otherwise I might not like pizza today. Pros: excellent pizza, excellent subs, excellent service Cons: not enough locations, dont see tommy much more

Best Pizza ever 12/3/2002

This place rules, it is my favorite pizza in the world. Chicago has nothing on Tommy's more

To Die For! 11/27/2002

Tommy's is absolutely the best pizza... period. Of the locations in town, I prefer the Dublin restaurant. If you order from the Lane Ave store, make sure you ask for it to be cooked in the old oven (its more ""seasoned""). Always consitently delicious. Pepperoni is a must. And the Onion, Tomato, Bananna Pepper pie is wonderful. I always ask for ""well done"". more

Downhill.............. 11/27/2002

Tommy's Pizza used to have great pizza, great service, and all-around great everything. The Tommy's Pizza of today stick with the great pizza, and is still great, but the current service is somewhat lacking. more

the best in the midwest 11/27/2002

Tommy's pizza is absolutely the best american style pizza the midwest has to offer. The service is excellent and always correct, chances are you wont get a wrong order here even if your order is out of the ordinary. A must try for every pizza lover! Pros: service, great pizza, good value Cons: crowded at lunch time, need more parking more

pefect, passionate pizza 11/1/2002

There are many pizza places out there, and sure they can get the job done. But for me, a really great tasting pizza has to have passion...that is to say it's ""irresistable""!! Tommy's Pizza is the place for me with it's local old famliy recipe that includes the best tasting crust and fresh ingredents served wall to wall (edge to edge). I have tried diffrent pizza resturants and carry-out all over the Columbus area, Tommy's is terrific pizza. Pros: great food, good value, the best pizza more

Goooood Pizza 10/31/2002

Very good subs and pizza, only problem it is only in the Columbus area. more

Pizza worth driving 300 miles for 10/31/2002

I've been driving from my home in Kentucky (300 miles) for 35 years to eat Tommy's pizza. It's the best anywhere outside New York or Chicago. Their Italian subs are the best anywhere. I usually get mine from the Hamilton Rd location but I have found the quality to be pretty much the same at all locations. Nobody puts more topping on the pie than Tommy's. Pros: excellent value, always fresh Cons: only 5 locations more

TOP IN COLUMBUS, OR ELSEWHERE 8/9/2002

Pizza from 60's as good today as back when the PIZZA was the true date food. Pros: still made at time of, good parking, Right next door to OS more

Yummy for your tummy 8/8/2002

Tommy's pizza is just right ...just enough sauce, just enough cheese, and plenty of pepperoni!!! The subs are the best in town, too....Just bring your appetite and indulge!!! Pros: fast service Cons: limited parking more

Since I was a kid 8/2/2002

Tommy's pizza was a treat in my house when I was a kid (E. Fifth Ave. location) and it still is. Not too spicy. Not boring. Wonderful pizza. Pros: wonderful pizza Cons: not enuf atmosphere more

A little slice of heaven 7/18/2002

Supercalifragalisticexpialidocious! Tommy's Pizza is truly a Columbus Classic! Thick, crisp bubbly crust, aromatic, flavorful sauce - cheese that trails from your lips - this my friends is Pizza at it's best! The surroundings are spartan, and purely Buckeye but I can think of no better place for a pint, some pie and the Buckeyes! MMMMmmmmmmmm.....Pizza...... Pros: Quaint, Delicious, Practical Cons: Not a lot of parking, Limited Seating, No Delivery more
