Just okay 7/27/2006

The sushi at Todai is definitely not the freshest or best tasting I've ever had. In fact, I rarely eat sushi when I go to Todai these days. I'm not really sure why, but most times the sashimi seems fresher than the fish they use on the sushi rolls. I never eat the tempura rolls as the tempura is never freshly made...so the tempura batter is soggy. Lately, I am more inclined to eat the hot food items...watching for a new batch of tempura to arrive. I also appreciate that they have udon noodles to order. \r \r If this location weren't directly on the way home from work, I don't think I'd ever eat here. In fact, these days, I'd probably get a better deal just having Chinese food from Panda Express...which I really dislike. more

Please Give me a new Stomach 11/21/2005

This could quite possibly be the worst food I have ever had. I'm from Hickville, USA and I know buffet quality food when I consume it. I ate a Shrimp Tempura Roll that consisted of no taste or texture that reminded me of shrimp. This was way over priced and the quality of food is way below average. Please rip off my head and stomp on it, I feel like Todai has bent me over and made it's way with me. I hope my review is helpful. Cons: everything more

Bad Quality, Dishonest Management 2/21/2005

If you want to pig out on poor quality sushi for one price then this is your place. There is a reason why most quality places don't offer ""all-you-can-eat"" on sushi. If you like to dine late beware. We arrived at 8:10 pm on my birthday and were told by the courteous hostess that the buffet remains open until 9:00 pm. Much to our surprise they started closing at 8:30 pm. The food on the buffet at 8:15 pm was at best ""left-over"" quality. When we complained about closing early and poor quality and selection on the buffet it was excuse after excuse. We refused to pay since we felt cheated. The manager/owner called us and I quote ""terrible, dishonest customers"". We had to settle on paying 30% of the bill and the owner was happy to learn that we wouldn't return. Pros: All-You-Can-Eat Cons: Food Quality, Price, Closing Time more

IF you like bad sushi.... 5/5/2004

This is the perfect place to sample it! All you can eat places usually suffer in quality control...and sushi is something they should never offer. Very thin slices and sub standard quality. But, hey...if you have no idea what good sushi taste like..and like to fill yourself up with crappy fried, overly battered, and mayonaise-filled food.... then, this place will be paradise! I actually ate here quite a lot of times when my parents would take us out...but we didnt know better then. Pros: lots of food... Cons: , bad fish more

Something fishy here 6/10/2002

If you want to try an all you can eat sushi buffet, this is not the place to do it. The selection appears vast, but with sushi, freshness is everything. This sushi did not taste fresh, nor did it taste good. I decided after a bite or two to avoid the sushi and ate the cooked items instead. My companion went for the sushi and didn't feel well all night. Definitely off my list of places for dinner. Cons: not fresh tasting more
