Breakfast - A Great Place to Begin Your Day 11/12/2009

I love the local flavor of this place and the owner provides the real connection to the local community. The food is good and proportions are very adequate. There are offerings for the entire family, especially if you are looking for good food without that major chain restaurant taste or feel. I love this restaurant. Note - The owner lives in Huntersville and also runs another Toast in Davidson, on the Main Street (NC115). Both are excellent. Pros: Breakfast - Great eggs & pancakes with a local twist Cons: Weekend mornings can get pretty crowded more

Quick and Simple Breakfast 1/20/2008

The breakfast here is fresh and simple yet extremely well prepared. The dining room is a bit crowded but the service is great and the fact that you are supporting a family run establishment is rewarding. Not recommended for big parties but if you and your family or spouse want a change from cereal this is the place. more

best brunch in charlotte 1/1/2008

We found this place by accident and we are glad we did. Food is outstanding (especially the crab cakes benedict or crepes) and the atmosphere is so casual you can come dressed in a pair of sweat pants. Staff is great and although there usually is a wait for a table, it is well worth it. Pros: food,staff,atmosphere,location more

Atmosphere and Service - terrific little gem 10/15/2007

Really a great little find. It is small but has a very nice feel, like a family dinner with friends. The staff is great, even under pressure when it is slammed for Brunch. The ownership is wonderful and very caring. The food is really good too. Only recommendation is to change up the brunch menu more often. But overall just great! Get there early and don't be disappointed by a wait (there always is-but worth it) Pros: Service, food, atmosphere and price Cons: Always a wait, more variety for brunch more

Best breakfast ANYWHERE, Truely amazing customer service 7/14/2007

I have been dissapointed by so many dinning experiences since moving to charlotte. This place is the south's saving grace. (yup i'm a snooty yankee). The inside is quaint with an eclectic style. I would put the quality of thier food up against any 5 star place in charlotte. My only wish is that the inside was bigger. It get's packed on the weekend for a reason, so get thier early. Pros: Best food and service anywhere around Charlotte Cons: Could be twice the seating size more

Fantastic Breakfast 7/8/2007

My husband and I were visting family in Charlotte (Huntersville) NC for the first time. They took us to Toast for breakfast Saturday morning. I was impressed by the short wait for a table for 6 on a Sat morning. The staff were very pleasant and service was quick. The food was fantastic. The specials were impressive although I opted for simple 1 egg, french toast and bacon. We all had a great meal, even the kids, the kitchen accomodated their requests. My husband and I loved it so much, we went back a few days later. I highly recommend. more

We started visiting Toast right after it opened. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) never disappoints and the owners and wait staff are wonderful. This little restaurant has definitely improved dining choice in Huntersville. Pros: Food, Service, Price, Outside dining Cons: Small inside more
