We worked with Nick for about 6 mo. Had taste testing at club house. He agreed to do our wedding with all our wish lists. He not only did what he agreed to but more. The food was even better at the wedding. I will use him again and again... Finally someone who cares. Thanks Nick.... more

Our son?s wedding was last weekend. It was a very successful event and Nick Zorich of To Dine For Catering played a large role in making the event so pleasurable. We started working with Nick in October, 2009. He worked with our daughter-in-law to design a menu that fit both her desires and budget. He then provided a ?tasting? at her house which involved a meal prepared for four people with the items she chose for the wedding dinner. This tasting is free if you choose to use To Dine For as your caterer. We were so pleased with Nick?s talent that we arranged for him to cater the rehearsal dinner also. After dealing with a few catering companies who didn't seem to comprehend our budgetary constraints, we went ""To Dine For"" and were thrilled. Not only was the price right but, the food was AMAZING! Nick and his crew catered my daughter's wedding. We engaged To Dine For Catering early in our planning process. I spoke to Nick a couple of times regarding linen colors and set up times. He was always available to discuss details and it was comforting to feel that we could rely on dinner being perfect. They didn't let us down...the dinner was excellent. Not only was the food presented beautifully...it was delicious. I had many compliments from our guests. Thank you Nick for helping to make this special day a success. more

I have had the pleasure of seeing To Dine For Catering in action two separate times and for two very different occasions. The first was for a friend's outdoor wedding on a day that reached 101 degrees. There was not a drop of shade to be found and despite the heat, the food looked and tasted delicious! Nick and his crew remained calm, helpful, and active throughout the day. more

I love this catering service!! I just catered a party for 150 and Nick and his crew were great. The food was amazing (you have to ask these guys to BBQ a brisket for you! Yum!) and the service was the best I have experienced at an event. Three servers (I only asked for three) were attentive, but not intrusive. They went beyond what I would have asked and never just ""stood around"" looking bored. It was a young attractive and active service group who appeared to know food and enjoy food. Nice! But, I digress onto the service. The main attraction was the food! So good. The roasted veggie panini's were fantastic and Nick helpede me to take advantage of fresh produce of the season (wild mushrooms), as well. I had things I definitely wanted, but he also helped me fill out the menu with some other crowd pleasers (a salad snack and these little prosciutto wraps that were so good.) To top if off, To Dine For is ecologically friendly. Can't recommend it more. Pros: Great food, professional crew, nice presentation, value more

Nick is possibly one of the best chefs in Portland who has the good fortune of having a business that reflects his passion for food, and his own brand of entertaining that can be brought to you instead of being limited to the confines of a restaurant. He made me feel completely at ease from the very start, and planning the menu and details /logistics of the tables and tents was a fun process because he is very flexible and open to your ideas. I had a graduation party for my husband, and the menu included the smoked beef brisket (fork tender, smokey juicy), parchment baked salmon, the best vegetarian lasagne I have every tasted, chicken skewers, pea salad (which he made especially for my husband, who loved it), proscuitto wrapped figs stuffed with cherve (fantastic!), tiny cesaer salad cups that were delicious even the next day, gorgeously cut seasonal fruit, bruschetta appetizers and the finale was a strawberry tiramisu that was absolutely melt in your mouth. He and his lovely wife and other assistant wore very nice black stylish uniforms, and were seamless in setting up the buffet table (beautifully decorated in greens, cloth and flowers), they kept the appetizer plates flowing, and considering they were working in a kitchen the size of a jet airplane galley turned out amazing mouthwatering food. At the end of the party they packaged all the leftovers in containers for us to take home, and made plates for any guest who requested them for taking home. They used cutlery and plates made out of 100% environmentally friendly materials. I highly recommend Nick's expertise and knowledge in fine food and entertaining, and will definitely use him again for another party and recommend him to others needing that special touch for their big day or memorable event. He will make it that much more so for you. He is an absolute delight, the value of the food and service were well within my budget, and my guests are still raving about the experience. more

We had our Mom's birthday party in the back yard and it was a delight. To Dine For Catering's staff was early and had everything set up and ready to go on time. The table was beautifully decorated with flowers and they even matched my color scheme. I can't brag enough about the food. We had a few left overs and ate them for breakfast! I am so glad I got their card at out company picnic, which was also over the top ""To Die For"" ha ha. All the best to Nick and his crew, you guys really made my Mom's birthday a day to remember. I used this catering service for my engagement party. It was perfect. Nick helped me strike a mood of simple elegance with fresh ingredients and appealing presentation. He was easy to work with and very creative with menu planning within my budget. The prosciutto and fig appetizer was yummy and his grilled kabobs were amazingly flavorful and moist. The best part was the freshness. Nothing tasted like it had been sitting in a chafing dish all day before my party. I will definitely use To Dine for again (they're catering my wedding)!!! It was the first time I had to book a party for my company. We just started up and had a grand opening reception. We hired To Dine For Catering through a recommendation of a friend.
