about a month after we purchased a motorcycle from word cycles the clutch went out. took it to the shop where they made repairs after having my husband sign a blank service request form. Then after repairs were done, informed us we owed300 someodd dollars for replacement of clutch, and other misc. repaires, plus they refused to give the old clutch back. \r \r Then a year later the bike started having electrical problems, thinking it was under warranty we took it to our local suzuki dealer where we were quoted 79.00 an hour and it would take an hour to diagnose the problem. the next day they reported that the problem wasn't covered under the warranty, we said we would pick up the bike. When we arrived the bike was still in peices and the mechanic said we would have to pay another 79.00 to get the bike put back together.\r \r They are liars, cheaters, and don't know anything about good business practices or motorcycles. Ther're a very personable seemingly helpful bunch of folks. Heck, I understand they are an awesome place to buy a bike from. Here is the hitch, thier service department is joke to say the least. The entire service end (shop) of the business is miss managed to say the least. They have no concept of the truth and use very vague generalities of when your bike will be finished and when your parts will be in. My bike sat at there shop for nearly four months to be put back together, no real mechanic skills needed for the work on my bike, just swapping out parts. If you do business with these folks you're just asking for trouble. Take the time research all the surrounding bike shops, and find a good one. That was my mistake, I was new to the area when I decided to give them my business, at the time I didn't know anyone with quads that could steer me to a good shop. I decided not to tell the enitre story of what they did to me, b/c it is a rather lengthy tale. Save yourself the trouble and avoid doing business with these folks. Pros: Very personable and polite Cons: Can't Stop Lying, they will tell you what you want to hear without really doing any work. more

I undertand that Team Mancuso Powersports took over the dealership from the Word family this year and what a refreshing way they have of getting you on th bike thats right for you. Rip-off 4/11/2007

Bought my SLX in 1996. Put 18 hours on it, four days, when the engine locked up, didn't even have it a month-not even long enough for the state registration to go through. Took it in under the service warranty in early June...they didn't look at it till JULY. When I went to check on it, they couldn't find it..took me to one that was NOT mine. I told the tech it's not mine, he said yeah it was, I said no, I haven't even been able to mount the registration numbers on it yet, and there's a big scratch missing on the lion's head decal. Oh, he says. I found it, and it looked like they had taken it out and sunk it..it was filfthy, dirty, and had water damage in it. \r \r Polaris refused to honor the warranty, saying it had been subjected to extreme abuse, that it had been run without oil and improperly maintained. I argued with them, showed them THEIR receipts of oil, flush, etc that I bought from them every time I rode the PWC (all three times). I have an extensive history with motor vehicles, and my husband owns his own trans shop, so I know all about maintenance on a vehicle, esp one in salt & brackish water! I went up, on my lawyers advice, to take pictures of MY PWC, and when I started taking pictures, Word's techs approached me and told me they would call the police if I didn't leave. I told them to go ahead, and they did. The cops came out, saw a very pregnant woman taking pictures of her PWC and acted as bodyguards for me FROM the techs, bless their hearts. \r \r \r \r Finally, Johnny Word himself came out, said that HE wasn't paying for it, POLARIS wasn't paying for it, and to ""Go ahead and report me, that's what I have insurance for."" \r \r Caveat emptor, people!!\r \r \r \r Oh, and just a little bit of info...Polaris stopped making personal watercraft a couple years ago. They even take your picture! 12/12/2006

Who would have imagined that this little, almost hidden cycle shop would house the friendliest, most accommodating folks in the business? Perfect bike, smooth transaction and then a photo of my 'cat-that-ate-the-canary' grin, standing next to my purchase. I've never enjoyed the process of going into debt so much. Ask for Nathan ... you won't be sorry. Pros: Huge thumbs up ... it felt like home; absolutely no pressure Cons: uhm, I can't think of one more

Walked into the dealer not knowing exactly what I was looking for. I did want a new Cruiser but not sure of the specs of each model. Tony was very knowlegable and got me the financing that I needed without any problems. If you are looking for an easy buying experience, this was by far one of the easiest purchases I have ever made. Pros: knowlegable staff, easy financing, very friendly Cons: lengthy vehicle prep, outdated building, bad parking more
