Best

Food was great

Worst

I've never had to wait long for a table here. It's just basic mexican food, nothing really spectacular. But it's one of the only places other than Taco Bell you can get anything...

Price was good for what we ordered 6/2/2011

We enjoyed the food and service. Price was good for what we ordered more

Love this place, the margarita's are huge, the service, atmosphere and food are all top notch. I would recommend tito's to anyone who visits Newport area. more

Absolutely Terrible!!! 11/28/2010

Hands down the worst Mexican restaraunt I have ever eaten at and probably the worst restaraunt overall. When the waitress FINALLY showed up, she was rude and we rarely saw her. The food was even worse. I could have gotten better chips at a convenience store and better salsa out of a ketchup bottle. To top it all off, it was overpriced.\r I have never written a restaraunt review in my life, but I felt obligated to write one about this place. Do yourself a favor if your in the mood for Mexican food: go to the Taco Bell next door to Tito's Cantina. more

Mexican.....I think not! 7/25/2009

Server was nice, but nice doesn't equal attentive! Nothing worse than sitting around staring at food that was sub par at best and waiting to just box it up to feed to the dog anyway! Anyone that claims this to be ""mexican food"" has never had actual Mexican food. I understand that this is Middletown RI, and not San Diego(or Mexico for that matter), but do a little research before embarking on such a lofty pursuit! I don't like ripping into places, but hopefully the owners of this establishment appreciate my honesty! Pros: Drink was decent Cons: service and food sucked! more

You've got to be kidding! 5/9/2008

I viewed Tito's menu online prior to ordering for lunch takout. Advertised ""lunch special"" 3 hard tacos and soda for $3.99. Bowl of chili for $4.25. When the order was picked up was told that there were no sodas included with the ""lunch special"" and that the prices were wrong. 3 tacos ended up costing $5.50 vice $3.99 without a soda and the chili was $4.99 vice $4.25. If the food was outstanding it would not have been as much an issue but IT WAS NOT! Just a high priced version of taco bell. Deceptive advertising, high price and nondescript food. Not a good combination! Cons: high price, deceptive advertising, just barely ok food more

Fine For The Pasty Anglo 5/30/2007

Relatively fast service, but not very authentic food.\r Moderately priced and varied menu offers diners quite a bit to choose from. Also serving COLD beers, which is a plus. Better to eat it in than get take-out. This food does not travel well! \r \r Another major drawback in getting it to go, they usually screw up your order. Check it before you leave!\r Having been to this location \r about 15 times, I have to give it an overall 2.5 stars. \r \r Theres a reason the Taco Bell right next door still does a brisk business..... Pros: Pretty neat, clean interior, ice cold beers, free homemade salsa & chips. Cons: Food not very authentic, afraid to apply the heat I think. more

Tito's is the best food i have ever eaten, i actually dream about it. 11/23/2006

Tito's is amazing! The food is spectacular. the only restaurant in the area where you can get good Mexican food. My girlfriend and i eat there usually once a day, and many times we have eaten there twice in the same day. If i am working i have someone pick me up some T'ito's and deliver it to me. My favorite are the chicken tacos, simple but delicious, and i crave them all day long. \r \r To the other reviewer who was complaining about the amount of salsa they give with the chips he forgot to mention that they are FREE! thats right you get a good size basket of Tito's homemade tortilla chips and salsa (which are great) just for walking in the door. I know one thing and that is not to complain about something that is free. The salsa may not be enough for the chips, but all you have to do is ask for more. They will probably give you more for free, and if not they may charge you a measley 50 cents. As for the price, i cant find a meal cheaper unless i went to Mcdonald's, and even sometimes i spend more there. I usually order three soft chicken tacos for $6. 25 and that is PLENTY of food, especially after eating a basket of chips. The service is completely satisfactory, absolutely nothing to complain about, maybe if i was at a Five star restaurant i might have a couple complaints, but i am eating a full meal for $6!!!!! \r \r The Margaritas are also great, and the new renovation was great as well.\r SEE YOU TOMORROW AT TITO'S CANTINA Pros: I Love everything about Tito's Cons: They are not open 24 hours so i can have Tito's all day long more

Where's the Salsa? 7/26/2003

This place is a joke! You only get a small basket of chips with a little cup of salsa. Just enough for 1 chip a piece. The portions are small. The service sucks. And for the price the food is nothing to write home about. more
