I have never hiked the cave, but the hike to the peak is awsome. It is best to hike at night and the watch the sun rise and then hike down. The view is awsome Pros: no cost, aswome view, thrill(at night) Cons: bathroom more

This is a good hike for visitors - anyone in relatively good shape can make the scenic climb to the top. In the summer, go early. For one thing, it's cooler. Also, cave tours do sell out. The cave itself isn't that impressive if you've been to Carlsbad or any other large cave. But, there are some unique formations that I have never seen anywhere else. more
