Times Square is noisy, bright, and not particularly interesting after the first ten seconds. Of course, it's the home of some of New York's cheesiest and most expensive attractions - Broadway musicals, TRL, super-large screen TVs showing muted newsreels and the Toys-R-Us Wheel, so maybe, for an unabashed day of tourism, you could blow bucks on Madame Toussaud's wax museum, expensive food at Roxy's, or extremely expensive cocktails at the area happy hour haven, Bar Code. But if that's your thing.
Pros: Bright and colorful, Variety, Photo-ops
Cons: screeching TRL fans, expensive as all hell, crowded - no natives
