Unbelievable 10/4/2003

You quickly find out why they call this the ""Crossroads of the World"", neon and huge TV screens explode with brightness along Broadway. How can you complain its too crowded? This is New York, baby. more

What a Rush 9/2/2003

Times Square is a rush if you haven't been there before. It overwhelms you. It engulfs you. It's an experience you'll never forget. A good place for Souvineers. Just a tip if you are buying any of the many T-shirts various venders are selling: The shirts with the ripped tags mean they were rejected at the factory, thus they have flaws. i.e. crooked lettering, etc. People can get a little pushy at times, so you'll need to have patience. Pros: Great atmosphere more

Times Square Is GREAT 2/28/2003

Times Square is GREAT! It is so bright and busy! There are so many shops and attractions! It is true, the city that doesn't sleep! But buy your souveniers elsewhere! You can find the same stuff on Canal Street at MUCH CHEAPER prices! Pros: FUN, FUN, FUN Cons: EXPENSIVE, EXPENSIVE, EXPENSIVE more

times square = day light 2/7/2003

love it! only place at night where it seems like the suns out, its so bright! Pros: always seems sunny Cons: crowded more

Cant go wrong 12/11/2002

The best cant get any better for cheap electric fun- good anytime you want to 'see NY' The shopping is getting more diverse but there are plenty of places to eat, play games, see shows...any place to relax? On a good day take the stroll down to 34th street, the walk is great. Lots of shops to relax, look....buy.....you have to do 'Macy's'. The art through that crowd, if your browsing, browse, dont let the bustle of the people disturb you, get into the groove, its not that bad being a transplant and see the city come alive. Pros: the lights, the sounds, the people more

The Heart of New York 12/9/2002

I didn't really feel like I was in New York until I hit time square. Such an awesome feeling, quite exhilirating. Everyone should go there at least once and stay in a hotel somewhere near by. more

Too Crowded 12/1/2002

I don't find any reason to go there. Lots of stores that have only one goal -- charge too much/rip off visitors Cons: crowded, rip off stores more

Town Square 11/30/2002

This place is awsome! It never sleeps! Madison Sqaure is the best! Pros: Site seeing Cons: Crowded more

Loved Manhattan 11/30/2002

I had the pleasure of visiting NYC for 7 days this October 2002. What a wonderful time.Time Square has it all, we spent at least 5 nights at Time Square throughout are trip. I love that everyting is in walking distance! And yes, if you get a chance go see The Producers. The enviorment is family friendly, and I was never once aprehensive about going out walking at night. God willing, I will be back someday to enjoy all over again! more

If you're only in NYC for 5 mins... 10/31/2002

then this is the place to go! It's so hard to descibed NYC without mentioning time square are the feeling of walking onto a movie set in one sentence. It's amazing, and totally a must see and do! Don't leave NYC without visiting it! more

Times Square 10/4/2002

The best things about Times Square are the Toys R Us store with the ferris wheel and the Sephora which is open late. The ESPN place looks impressive but there isn't really much in there other than a restaurant and bar. If you're into TRL, you can catch that on weekdays. The worst part by far is the crowds. more

times square-a real pain 9/12/2002

as a city resident i often find myself in manhattan. times square is always full of people. i try to avoid it at all costs if i can, just to avoid being knocked over and pushed by rude tourists and annoying street vendors. i do love the toys r us. it's amazing. go to toys r us and get the hell out of times square Pros: toys r us Cons: crowded, no good restaurants more

My damn rating 9/11/2002

The review was fabulous. New York is a beautiful city and is worth visiting. That city is also a wonderful city to live in. The opportunities in New York are endless. I love New York!!!! Pros: Great, Lovely, Beautiful Cons: people, people, people more

If that's your thing. 9/6/2002

Times Square is noisy, bright, and not particularly interesting after the first ten seconds. Of course, it's the home of some of New York's cheesiest and most expensive attractions - Broadway musicals, TRL, super-large screen TVs showing muted newsreels and the Toys-R-Us Wheel, so maybe, for an unabashed day of tourism, you could blow bucks on Madame Toussaud's wax museum, expensive food at Roxy's, or extremely expensive cocktails at the area happy hour haven, Bar Code. But if that's your thing. Pros: Bright and colorful, Variety, Photo-ops Cons: screeching TRL fans, expensive as all hell, crowded - no natives more

Alive!! 8/28/2002

I've been to Times Square twice in my life and it's just been an exciting experience. I feel alive there, with the people and the lights. It's definitely a great place to visit..... more

If you ain't here, you ain't anywhere 8/25/2002

Stand in the middle of Times Square from the evening rush hour until the sun sets and the theaters open up and swallow a smidgen of the growing crowds and you have seen, and been a part of, an experience unlike any other in the world. more

It/s a fun city 8/23/2002

Times Square is exciting, the lights, the wax museum, the Disney store, the shops, the theatres; a 24-hour entertainer...It is a short walk from Macy's Dept. Store, or a shop l stop on the subway. It is a short walk to Rockerfella Centre, which is also a must....Saks Fifth Ave, St. Patrick.s C athedral, Ice skating , interesting shops and more. Another thing at times square is the Movie compex if you need to sit down and take a break. Cons: bathrooms needed, some benches more

Capital of the World!!! 8/22/2002

Times Square is buzzing. Whether you go in the daytime or at night you cannot be disappointed with the atmosphere of this place. more

cool but... 8/14/2002

Times Sq is a must see for any visitor. Go at night and marvel at the lights. Although, people who live here seem to avoid the area. I agree. Trying to walk along those sidewalks will drive anyone crazy. Everything else is so touristy and overpriced. Go there a couple of times and you have been there enough. more

Big screen tv 8/12/2002

This is an exciting place to go if you have never been to N.Y.Everything you need is all in one place. Pros: all types of food, shopping, entertainment Cons: taxes are high more
