Editorial review from Citysearch 2/9/2014

My girlfriend forces me to make a pilgrimage here once a year for clothes and stuff. It's wretched. If you like people and shopping you'll be in nirvana. Be sure you know what part of the outlet you want to go to so you get parking in the right lot. more

Love it 12/15/2011

This and other cool designer outlets! 12/20/2009

Do you want to find this and many other outlet malls? Check out ‘Designer Outlets’ applications for iPhone. They have hundreds of designer and factory outlet centers across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. You can browse outlet center directories, connect to outlet websites (and find current promotions!), and map the route from your current or chosen location to the outlet center. Awesome! Pros: Soon to be available on Blackberry Cons: Only for iPhone now more

My Favorite Outlet Mall 9/6/2007

I live in Santa Clarita but cheerfully drive the hour to get to the Camarillo outlets. They have a really nice selection of outlet stores and the mall is nicely designed out so you're pretty much walking in a big circle around the vast parking lot. \r \r Favorite stores include Van Heusen, Geoffrey Beane, Bass, Mikasa, Brooks Bros., Ann Taylor and on and on. It's true that in some stores it's hard to tell the difference between regular prices and outlet prices, but at places like Brooks Bros. and Ann Taylor the savings are tremendous. There's a decent food court and restrooms are in a few locations. Always check at the office for discounts.\r \r In the Fall, I drive along Highway 126 between Santa Clarita and the 101; the scenic drive really adds to the overall experience. That drive is always nice, but in Fall you see pumpkin fields along the 101! \r \r Get to the mall early and pick a plum parking spot in a central location. It's nice to be able to dump your goodies in your car as you go rather than dragging them around all day. Great place for Christmas shopping too! Pros: Variety of Stores, Great Discounts, Brand Names Galore Cons: Crowded Later in Day more

Plenty of Good Stores in One Location 11/11/2006

Camarillo Outlets have plenty of good stores with great deals all in one stop. It's a must visit spot when you want to get all of your shopping done in one day. Pros: Various Stores in One Place Cons: Hard to get a parking spot more

Hit or Miss 1/25/2005

With any outlet mall, it's always hit or miss. It just depends when you go and if you get lucky. I was there last weekend and didn't find anything. Although the Saks and Barney's had ok inventory. I'm sure it will get better once the sales are over at the retail stores and it's sent to the outlets. Pros: Nice outdoor walk more

oh yeah, you can find lots of brand names at cheaper price! Pros: bargain price Cons: too many people more

a once in awhile stop 9/14/2002

Every once in awhile im forced to come here when driving on the way to oxnard with family. I dont mind much because sometimes you can find some good deals and there are so many stores to look at. But i wouldnt recommend making a day out of it. You can only look so much! Plus here you mostly find styles that are already going out of style and the prices arent that great. In other words if your driving by.. cool.. but dont go out of your way. more

Great Deals on Great Brands 8/8/2002

My wife and I stop and shop at the Camarillo Outlets every year on our way to or from Santa Barbara. We always load up on tons of high quality discounted gear from great brand name stores like Polo, Gap, Nike, and Timberland. The best feature about the Outlets is the broad selection and the worst feature is trying to find parking on busy weekend days. Pros: All The Best Brands Cons: Finding Parking more

Many stores, good deals,.... 6/28/2002

and fantastic parking. This outlet was a surprise the first time I came here. It doesn't look as large when you see it from the highway, but this place is so big that you need to move your car or you'll be exhausted if you walk to all the shops. There is so much to choose from and I always want to at least window shop every store. It's a bit of a drive from where I live but is well worth planning a day there. more

Good and Bad 6/27/2002

Like any outlet mall, there's a mix of great bargains and complete ripoffs here. And it's not as easy as one might think to find the former. Seriously, it seems like some of the stores (especially Banana Republic) charge more for items at their outlet than they do at their regular stores. And the stuff that is on sale at BR is of very poor quality. However, stores like Ann Taylor and whatever the name of the shoe store is near it, offer much better deals on items of good quality. No matter where you go, it requires a lot of weeding through junk and overpriced merchandise to find the too few and far between treasures. Pros: some good finds, discounted prices Cons: far away, lots of junk, overpriced items more

A pleasant shopping experience 6/24/2002

Came here recently, and I was pleasantly surprised at what I found. The outlets carried most of my favorite brands, and I came away leaving with my money's worth. Pros: price, variety more

Great Bargains 6/20/2002

Generally I do not like shopping in malls, like most guys. I was dragged to Camarillo one Saturday by my girlfriend and was surprised to learn there are at least a couple of great shops for men also. Timberland has some offerings that were simply unbelievable - I ended spending about $250 there for several pairs of boots, jackets, pants, gloves and backpacks. Also, Remington has some ""specials"" on knives, so I bought several knives there also along with a shaver and electric toothbrush. Levis had several specials on shorts as well as other Docker items. Long story short, we went there for her to shop, and I ended up spending about $600. I felt I received good value for the dollars spent, so I did not feel bad about parting with the cash. We will return. Pros: Good parking, Good Variety, (Some) Great Values more

the best shopping in southern CA!!! 6/1/2002

i recently went to the Camarillo Outlet Mall with great expections, and they were all met!!! I first went to Barneys and found a $210 pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs jeans for $30!!! At Attitudes they had Joomi Joolz shirts for $35, and at Saks, my favorite store of all, they had an $850 rhinestone encrusted pair of strappy sandals for $70!!!! I was in heaven!!! My favorite stores are Saks, Coach, Bebe (be sure to check out their huge 50% off section), Laundry, BCBG, Attitudes, and Nine West. This shopping center is definately worth the 4 hour drive for me and i will visit every other weekend!!!! Pros: great discounts, great holiday sales Cons: hard to fing parking more

Do outlets have better prices? 5/16/2002

I thoroughly enjoy the shopping experience at this grandiose, outdoor setting. I have taken advantage of dicount pricing at Mikasa and Lennox. The Nine West outlet often has a buy one pair, get one for 1/2 price. It's the clothing stores that don't seem to offer the great discounts I somehow expect. You can spend a long afternoon strolling the two circles of shops. The parking can be challenging. You will almost certainly get a spot, but you may have to fight your way through a couple of crowded aisles before finding one. The food court is nothing special and is usually crowded. But I dont' come here for the food so that's not a big negative for me. Definitely worth a trip for the variety, outdoor setting, and those non-clothing bargains. Pros: outdoors, large variety more
