Hired this contractor to redo our barn roof in summer of 2008. Within weeks shingles began slipping off one side. He fixed them a few times but they have continued to fall off. We have been trying to get him to come and fix the problem once and for all since the fall of 2010. Today is 7/5/11 and so far he has not been over to fix the problem (5 shingles off) and is not returning our messages. more

We chose Tim Tokos Contrating to build our home for us, and we are so happy we did! Tim proved to be a skilled, knowledgeable and honest contractor. (Prior to this experience I didn't think ""Honest"" and ""contractor"" could even be in the same sentence!) \r We loved to visit our property daily, and could usually find Tim and his crews at work. In fact our house was done ahead of schedule! \r Many things really impressed us: he was always available to answer our questions, any change requests we made were priced fairly, his subcontractors were competent and courteous and he really cared about making our dream house come true.\r In the end Tim built us a beautiful, quality home that we are very proud of. I would like to start with saying that Tim Tokos is an excellent contractor who does go the extra mile and is very good at what he does and has many customers who will state that, He is very honest and hard working. I have a list of references from many people in this area whom he has done work for from small jobs to building them a home that they are extremely happy with and will be happy to refer him for ANY job. It is unfortunate that some people who bring a lot of grief into the world for some reason or another feel that they have to try and bring others down to their level. Beware of this contractor. Poor Quality, unskilled staff. Absentee owner. Only cares about getting his money and moving on. I know there are lots of bad contractors out there, but this one should be avoided. \r - Very poor planning. Causes the homeowner to need to make many rash decisions within hours.\r - Business owner rarely onsite - employees run amok. Never goes the extra mile.\r - Good advertised prices/estimates, but many things are missing - results in massive overages.\r - Ignores customer as much as possible to avoid confrontation. Pros: Nice guy when you first meet him. Cons: Disaster all-around more
