There was a 49 dollar service fee which I agreed to.( $49 is additional to the work ). I knew the problem and told the tech when he came out. He opens a book with the pricing three times higher than what normal plumbers would charge. And If you don't have the exact $49 service fee , you just gave them a tip for telling you something you already knew. Bottom line- They will not give you a price on the phone, and they are extremely over priced for the job. CALL SOMEONE ELSE more

Avoid this place if you're in the metro east area of Illinois. A ripoff. Needed a faucet installed that I purchased at the store. Called Tiger Plumbing and asked for a price. She said they charge by the job, not by the hour and it will cost $50 to have a plumber come out and give you a price, which she said she couldn't do. Sounded a bit fishy but how much could they charge to put a faucet on. I was naive. He came out and showed me the price in his book and it was over $200 to replace a faucet. Since he was there and I didn't want to pay $50 and send him away, I let him do it. Remember, I supplied the faucet. The only thing he supplied were the two supply lines that cost a couple bucks in Home Depot etc. I had everything ready and it took him 20 minutes to do the job. That is an amazingly high hourly rate. If you do want to use them for something like this, be sure and get a price from them before letting them come out and if they won't give you a price, just find another plumber. I will never go back there and I will never try Alpine Air Heating and Cooling because it is owned by the same gentleman and if you screw people in one business, I'm sure you have no problem screwing them in your other business. The work was done properly but the cost was ridiculous. i can see why they don't charge by the hour and why they wouldn't give me a price over the phone. more

This company was called out to find a leak underneath my house. The plumber said there was no problem with the pluming and blamed it on the air conditioning ducts condensating. I then had a Heating/Air company come out, and they said that there was no problem with the Duct Work underneath the house (which cost me more $$$$). So then I got HOME 360 Company to send a plumber out and their plumber found the problem. The man From TIGER PLUMBING got 75$ out of me and lied and said there was no problem whenever there really was a Leak. DO NOT EVER USE TIGER PLUMBING! more

These guys came right out and took care of the leak right away. I was surprised they could make it out the same day because every one else I called said it would be the next morning since I was calling late afternoon. Repair turned out to be quick and relatively inexpensive too. Thanks Tiger Plumbing Services. Pros: same day service more

Since there is no minus star designation. I will attempt to submit this review with no stars. On Thurs 3/20/08 I entered their office in an attempt to purchase a toilet fill valve part that was leaking. I was told initially that there was a life time warranty on the assembly when it was originally replaced by them. I did not wish to wait, or pay for a service call given the exorbitant amount they had charged previously. I am fully aware that while the part may be covered , the labor charge is not. I would rather buy the part and do it myself. I was told by a large very surly individual that the part never wears out with no offer of a fix, and very smugly told ""I will put this right back in your hand and you have voided your warranty."" I informed him that given my previous experience with the firm that this was exactly the kind of treatment I expected. Assuming they would not be very cooperative I had already purchased a complete new assembly from one of the big box stores, but stopped by Tiger just in case they would sell me a part that is only held in by one thumb screw instead of having to replace the whole assembly. Being totally disgusted and angered, I went back in and told them that I had already bought a whole new assembly of a diifferent design and did angrily shake it at them. I also informed them I would never use them again or recommend them. The large surly fellow actually charged out of the office door onto the parking lot as I was pulling away. My question is, if that part never wears out, and never needs replacing, why is it only held in by a thumbscrew with about 3 threads? Why didn't he simply sell me the part or at least offer something constuctive. It was the poorest customer service attitude I have ever dealt with in my life. It so happened I held a special event hosting about a hundred local people that weekend ,and I made sure that my experiences with Tiger were shared with most. more
