Best

Yak Mo Mo delivered to my home? Awesome. They tasted just as good here. this place is terrific; appetizers were wonderful; Palek Paneer was sensational. this was well worth doing.

Worst

Too much cream. Food was just ok, not typical Indian. I wouldn't order again.

I don't have a lot to compare it to as far as Nepali restaurants/cuisine go, but this meal was satisfying for delivery. The okra and spinach dishes were both tasty, and not as heavy as Indian saag or other usual fare from the region. The yak dumplings were also good though maybe are better experienced AT the restaurant than via home delivery. more

The food was not very good, and even though they say they deliver they really don't. I had to walk to the delivery man because he didn't want to drive onto my campus. The delivery man was also very rude. more

These guys are terrific! Great Yak momos - AND when I mentioned in my order that I wished they had Aloo Paratha on their menu instead of plain paratha, it magically appeared in my order when they delivered. Thanks you guys! :) more

Great Alternative To Busy Oldtown 4/13/2010

Been here a few times now. Lunch buffet is a great deal, it is $9.99 and you get a too much food. If you have never had this food before I equate it to Indian food with out the spicy or strong curry flavors, more of a mellow flavor with rich sauces that really stick with you. Last time I filled up on naan, chicken wings, tofu saag, shrimp masala, basmati rice, fried vegetable thing fruit and of course the rice custard/pudding. If you are in the area and don't want to deal with slow service of Akbar or the bad service of All India Cafe, come here for fast filling food at lunch time 1130-230. I recommend the 90 minute free parking at the lot on Raymond. Pros: Lots of food at a reasonable price Cons: Old Town still be a busy place more

Food was okay but took 2 hours to deliver. I understand that restaurants get busy and deliveries can sometimes run late, but the meal took ONE HOUR to deliver after I had been told that it would be delivered in ten minutes. A discrepancy that large indicates that they weren't really checking or being honest or they were just trying to get me off the phone. This I resent more than the lateness. more

Hope this won't stay a secret in Pasadena! So delicious! 6/3/2008

I came to Tibet Nepal House because of the extensive veggie/vegan menu for a friend visiting from out of town. I'd never been here before, so I really didn't know what to expect, but I was thoroughly impressed: contrary to the other reviews, our appetizers arrived very quickly, meals were served in a completely reasonable amount of time (no longer than any other restaurant I've been to), service was great, our orders were perfect, and the food was DELICIOUS. I'd go back again in a heartbeat and be enthusiastic about ordering something else on the menu instead of ""the usual""! Portions were big, and the food was so good -- check it out! We loved our dinners and can't wait to go back. Pros: very close to the Memorial Park metro stop and Colorado shops, great food and service more

below average food 5/26/2008

I wouldn't say service was terrible, but the servers were not very helpful. We had a lot of questions that they couldn't answer. We had the lamb curry and it was quite good. They recommended us yak meat, and ordering it was the worst decision we could've made. They brought out a small dish of dark cubes with a couple pieces of green pepper. It cost $17 for about 7 pieces of dried up, over cooked steak. Everything else was just average. Probably wouldn't go again. more

LOUSY SERVICE, one good dish 3/22/2007

This was my first time at the restaurant, and it was a horrid experience, except that the lamb curry was delicious. The waiter told me that I could order any of the chicken or lamb dishes as part of the Nepali Set menu, and then told me that I could only order a chicken or lamb curry. My partner tried to order his Chyamtango Pujaari spicy, and the waiter told him 'It's already spicy', and it was the blandest thing I've ever eaten: we could taste no spices at all. Certainly there was no dry chili, cumin or garlic in evidence. We asked for water, and 15 minutes later, had to grab another staff member to ask again. We ordered garlic naan, and we received plain. People around us were getting served while we sat waiting. Finally, in disgust, we asked for the check, and when the waiter told me that I still had dessert coming, I complained about all that was wrong and said I didn't want to stay any longer. There was no apology forthcoming, and the bill was for the full amount. We left no tip. I've never done that before, and I'm 54 years old.\r All of this is too bad, because the lamb curry was delicious. I suspect that I'll come back some day and try to have a better time, but this was one LOUSY restaurant experience. more

HORRIBLE SERVICE 11/2/2006

I had my first and ONLY experience at the Tibet Nepal House a few months ago when I went with a few of my friends. It took our server an hour before he even took our order. They forgot about my friend's order and when they finally brought it to him (about 45 minutes later) it was not vegetarian and my friend had ordered a vegetarian meal. He wasn't able to eat anything the rest of us had ordered because there was meat in all of it. I was astonished at what poor service we recieved. When we told our server that this was incorrect and how long we had been waiting (we didn't yell, just politely informed him of the error) he gave my friend a dirty look. Our server was only at our table perhaps 6 times the entire evening and we ended up sitting and waiting for things for about 2 hours instead of actually eating. This is unfortunate because the food is actually very good, but my appetite was spoiled because of the poor service. I will not be returning to the restaurant anytime in the near future. Pros: Food is very good. Cons: Service was TERRIBLE, actually, it was non-existent. more
