These guys are a bunch of liars and thefts. Purchased a vehicle, was told the engine repairs would be done in a few days. 1 month later, I still haven't got the vehicle that I paid cash for. I call everyday and keep getting a rude receptionist, my sales guys keeps lying to me. So much they he can't keep up with his lies. I surprised them with a visit and got him RED HANDED in a lie. Worst dealership every. Avoid at all cost. If it sounds too true...you know the rest. more

This dealer had the exact Volvo I've been looking for now for several months. I originally made a bid on e-bay, and got back a silly, stock e-mail that did not mention or address my bid. I sent another e-mail in return mentioning my bid, again a stock e-mail response with no direct discussion of my bid.\r \r Reading the reviews, it does appear most of the positive ones are written in groups about the same time and are very general in a positive, paid commercial kind of way. Like the 5 star one written on 01-07-2012 - of course the owner knows the car business well you jack ass, that doesn't mean they're honest or that the cars are as advertised. \r \r If you don't think this dealership is making this stuff up, read the last two lines of the 01-07-2012 review: "" I haven't had any problems with the car for months already. The warranty they gave me has also helped me out so much!"" Why would a warranty help you out so much if you haven't had any problems with the car. \r \r Just think about it folks. Thankfully, because of these reviews I avoided known scammers, even if I had to give up my dream car - I'm guessing it would't have been a dream car for long. more

These angry reviews on how this dealership is horrible are NOT TRUE. They clearly do not know anything about cars and probably offered ridiculous prices. I walked into their showroom and was very impressed. I talked straight to the owner of the place, and got the impression that he really knew the car business well. He gave me great pointers on what cars were the best to buy at the time. I asked him to find me a specific car I had in mind, year, make, model, and exact price range I could afford. 2 weeks later....I get a call from Thrift telling me to come in and test drive the car I have searching for! I was so pleased I rushed in and fell in love with the car right away. We made a deal quick and easy. I haven't had any problems with the car for months already. The warranty they gave me has also helped me out so much! Make sure you check out Thrift to get the car you're looking for! They'll make your time worthwhile! more

I dont even know where to start with this place!! They had a vehicle I really wanted at a great place. Online in the pictures it was in great condition. So I drove an hour and a half after work to see it for myself, when I arrived it had 3 major scratches on it., missing a fog light and passenger seat armrest chewed on. Since they werent the biggest problems in the world I decided to move forward with it which they also told me they would fix those problems. In the meantime they asked me to leave a deposit to (HOLD) the vehicle which I did. They gave me some paperwork to fill out which I drove back out there a couple of days later. During that time they called me and told me everything was being fixed and prepped for me. When I got there I looked around in there lot and didnt see it. I saw the Manager walking by and asked what happened to the vehicle that was sitting here? He said ""Oh I sold it yesterday"". I was like whaaaaaat? Then WTF is the point of my (HOLD) deposit??? So they sold the car from under me. Ok Fine!! But then they refused to give me back my deposit. they kept blowing me off for weeks about getting it back to me. Finally I had to call my credit card company and stop payment. To get my money back. On a side note while I was there another guy was checking out a Porsche and the salesman turned it on and revved up the engine and it sounded like a lawnmower, the customer said why does it sound like that, it's not supposed to sound like that. The salesman said its ok all the new Porches do that!!! - I REST MY CASE!! more

This dealership is actually a junk yard but you won't realize until you put down the money or later. Cars have relatively good exterior but they are all LEMON believe me. The CarFax reports are FAKE, you have to add an average 50K to get the real mileage of these cars plus who knows what happened with those cars. Costumer service very poor and they don't care with the costumers after the deal. Thrift Auto Sales writes fake costumer reviews on someone else's name, don't believe in those good reviews they are made by the dealer and all FAKE! If you'll buy a car from them you'll have a lawsuit for sure... more

salesman on phone said car in mint/superb condition. Drove 4 hours to pick up car..cash in hand and the car was a piece of junk. There was no way i was going to buy it. it looked like it was in a flood and the seats were ripped, it was terrible. chips and scratches too. the management said they gets their car from auction. no way i would buy from them more

Their Finance manager Rick, was the perfect guy to handle my deal. I had problems with my credit and banking, but he fixed all the problems through his funding programs. He made sure to keep me happy and do the right thing at the same time. I was very pleased with him and how they do their business. more

I've been to many used car dealerships in the northern NJ area and NY as well, but none of them could satisfy. Once I found Thrift in Morristown, I was extremely relieved. They had such a large selection of cars in their inventory that I was astounded. Finally, I found the perfect Jeep Wrangler I was looking for! more

You can trust theseM guys 100%. My salesman Greg Davis was dedicated to helping me find my perfect car and made sure all my problems were resolved. He was very kind and respectful to my family that tagged along into their office. There were a few financial set backs, but Greg worked with his boss and fellow associates to get me where I wanted. I am very happy I went to Thrift to purchase the vehicle. There isn't a place that compares to them in prices and quality. more
