We booked five nights in the Eliza Room the first week of August, and we left after one night, forfeiting $133 of our $250 deposit.
The bed was hard (the brochure promised a queen-sized bed, but it was only a double), the room was cramped and stuffy, and there was noise from the room air conditioners in the cottages that surrounded the house. We were awakened at 5:45 a.m. by a truck backing up, probably at the Cookery Restaurant just up the street.
The breakfast at this B&B was not very good (undercooked, precooked biscuits, no 1/2 & 1/2 for the coffee, good granola).
The building is pretty and nicely furnished, but if you want peace, quiet and luxury, this is not the place!
Pros: close to downtown, pretty building
Cons: noisy, breakfast not great, inexp. rms cramped
