The Fertility Center

I signed a contract with them before we started our cycle. The contract stated that the price was an estimate of what insurance would not cover. They told me on multiple occasions if I was overpaying they would refund me money. I found out later that they had stopped submitting claims to insurance and I still had remaining coverage. I had to argue with them to submit claims. When they finally did submit claims, they changed the price of my package which I had signed a contract for. Of the $7000 they submitted in claims my portion that I was responsible for on my explanation of benefits was $20, yet I did not get that money back because they increased my prices. Ultimately, they made additional money off of me by submitting my claims. more

After spending a yr and half at this fertiltiy center, doing 4 iui procedures, taking potenitally harmful fertility drugs, going to countless appointments which meant time missed from work and spending over $5,000, we got no where. My husband is the one with the infertility problem, and they never once suggested treating him. Instead we are now being told to try ivf for $18,000.........unhappy and disappointed with our outcome at this center. more

While trying to get to the bottom of my unexplained infertility, my doctor offered to refer me to the Fertility Center of Chattanooga. Without attempting any other procedures, they recommended IVF for me. I felt like there were other options that we needed to explore first, and am glad that I stuck with my original doctor and let him direct my treatment. I was pregnant 3 months after opting out of IVF. The same procedure I had done by my regular OB/GYN was four times as expensive at the Fertility Center of Chattanooga. I have heard that they don't like to mess around with options other than IVF due to repeated disappointments, but shelling out thousands and thousands of dollars was not an option for my husband and I. Thankfully, we are now blessed with a beautiful daughter. more
