I had my transmission rebuilt by the 'The Transmission Shop' about a month and half ago and I just wanted to take the time to thank you all and commend your crew on a job well done. My transmission hasn't slipped, clunked, shimmered, shook or loss power since you boys fixed it!! Aaron was very professional throughout the whole process and was fair with the estimate and kept me informed throughout the whole process. Keep up the great work!! more

Curly at the Lewisville location did an excellent job two years ago and recently I had a problem with my shift module and he replaced it for free. their three year warranty is real !!! more

Took my recently acquired 1995 Z28 to The Transmission Shop with some pretty clear symptoms. All were corrected within a week and very reasonably priced. They told me to drive it a little and bring it back for a check out. Curly took care of me and found a leak from the shifting shaft seal. It was replaced and the charge was $0.00. Will definitely recommend this business to friends and family. more

We had the transmission rebuilt on our 2000 Nissan Pathfinder at the Plano location. We had some issues but Aaron took care of them. I can say that these folks absolutely stand by their warranty and want to make sure the customer is satisfied. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is needing to have transmission work done. Had them do my tranny and never even met them. I have a modified wheelchair minivan and it is my only means of transportation. I called the Garland shop, I'm in Sachse, and they had my van towed in, shifted some jobs around so that I could get my van back sooner, and then they had it towed back(I paid for that but at their rate) and I paid online. They were straight forward on the cost, no "oops we found more issues" kinda thing, and having a 3 year warranty tells me they stand behind their work. I had had mine rebuilt only 2.5yrs and ~7k mile ago by a chain shop(think national bird) and it grenaded, and of course there was only a 1yr warranty. It had been noisy from day one, so I am not totally surprised. Only been a few weeks and a couple hundred miles(I don't drive much), but so far it is performing flawlessly. With the way I was treated and taken care of, I highly recommend these folks. more

A busy shop is usually a sign of good mechanics, technicians and management. I found it busy at the Lewisville shop. You can't rush everything in life. As it turns out, the transmission we got has been working without flaw. A good transmission rebuilder is very hard to find. You WILL find them here at "The Transmission Shop". Thanks guys! David P. Brought in my 1998 A8 Quattro for a slushbox rebuild. They did a great job. Torque converter was dropping in and out of lockup but figured why not have the whole thing rebuilt while it was out of the car. Shop provided regular status updates. Their warranty is the best part. Your not getting 3 years 36,000 miles at any other shop. You also get a 2% discount if you pay cash. Would definitely recommend. more

You guys explained all of my options and exactly how much each would be (unlike another local shop that told me there was only one way to fix my problem), and then when I chose what to do, you found a way to shave off another couple of bills from the price. Then you got the work done much earlier than I expected. Bravo! more

Thanksgiving.....a time to reflect on our life and give thanks to God and to those who have helped us along in life. I would like to say Thank You to Aaron and his staff for replacing the clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing and other accessories in my 2007 Nissan 350Z Touring Roadster earlier this year. They also removed the scoring from the flywheel surface and the car runs fine. Aaron is very courteous, professional and customer-service oriented. Highly recommended. I was a morning walk-in and was back out in under 20 minutes! They were polite, quickly diagnosed my engine with several problems, and gave me the results to take to a mechanic. The checkup was free and thorough. I definitely recommend! more

when I called the transmission shop I was in a quandary, being a woman and in a new state by myself I didn't know hat to do. my car stopped on my way home from work I had it towed to Toyota and was told it was my transmission and it would be almost 5000.00!!!! I was livid who has that type of money. I was recommended by another shop to the Transmission Shop, I called the had my car towed and fixed within a week with a fraction of the cost. I am forever in debt to these gentleman at the transmission shop in plano. Thank you is not enough. I would recommend a thousand times over more
