RUN AWAY!\r
\r
Pros:\r
there are none \r
\r
Cons:\r
* Inept, incompetent management & maintenance. Rude management\r
* Accept deliveries when not authorized to, lose packages\r
* outside lights on timers they are horrible about updating with the change in sunrise/sunset throughout the year and accidentally turn them off frequently resulting in pitch black outdoors &needing a flashlight to lock/unlock your door,\r
* Any time anything beyond light bulb replacement or pipe snaking is required, management has to subcontract out and they pick the cheapest companies possible - it shows in the quality of the repairs. \r
* They defer any and all maintenance to the point of not replacing pipes they know are rotted and about to burst in between tenancies and will instead wait until they actually break and demolish tenant's apartment while living here. \r
* MOLD. We've been chronically sick since moving here because of the mold & have wasted $100s on groceries that are great at the store and mold very quickly here (most fruit can only make it a few days, even onions and potatoes mold within a month). \r
* REPEATEDLY VIOLATES LEGAL REQUIREMENTS TO PROVIDE AT LEAST 24 HOURS' NOTICE TO ENTER. They leave a notice on your door & sign it under penalty of perjury, but they don't really care if it's actually 24 hours before they intend to enter. The most recent one had a false date in the notice execution spot. \r
* Frequent inspections of units are a huge inconvenience & invasion of privacy\r
* people prop the gates open w/ rocks all the time because they're too lazy to take their keys to the store. \r
* laundry room poorly maintained, usually a maximum of one machine at a time that doesn't have some problem or other. \r
* In the 2.5 YEARS I'VE LIVED HERE THEY'VE DEMOLISHED PARTS OF OUR APARTMENT 3 TIMES.\r
- #1, broken pipe in the walls they knew was rotting, but hadn't fixed. Water started spewing up from our kitchen sink in the middle of the night. They put the dishwasher blocking access to the refrigerator & kitchen sink, put the stove blocking access to the bedroom & bathroom, jack hammered up a 4ft trench across the tiny kitchen, then tried to leave it like that overnight. Complete loss of use, gaping hole in the floor posed a huge safety risk to our cats, who could easily have crawled inside. They relented, put new concrete in the floor. We woke to find the contractor they'd hired to replace the linoleum had broken into the apartment to start work with neither permission nor a key because he got there two hours early for the appointment and didn't want to wait. \r
- #2 replaced cracked (gaping rift, not faint hairline) bathtub (cheap plastic w/ nothing underneath to support it). The contractor didn't measure the new tub correctly & it didn't fit. They jury rigged together a wall piece & tub that don't match up correctly, then did the crappiest job calking that I've ever seen such that the wall overhangs the tub and the joint between them constantly grows that pink-orange slime that forms in tubs that aren't cleaned and can't be scrubbed effectively because the calk is anything but an even surface and comes off without much pressure.\r
- #3 The upstairs neighbor's shower drain clogged. Snaking was ineffective, so they came in and cut a large hole in the ceiling over our shower to try unscrewing the pipes to look for a lost object. They couldn't get the pipe unscrewed &called a plumber who quoted repairs in afternoon, but they wanted to get several bids to get the lowest possible price. Meanwhile, our neighbors had to sponge bathe in their kitchen sink and we can hear each other's conversations (and going to the bathroom and everything else) without trying, rendering our only bathrooms no more private than a stall in a public restroom. Plus the huge creepy gaping hole in the ceiling. \r
