Best

The all Garlic appetizer is divine, the garlicky Rabbit was amazing. And the garlic ice cream for dessert sealed it.

Great for tourists... 6/17/2005

If you are a tourist, you will enjoy this restaurant for the experience. Otherwise, if you are looking for great Italian food, there are many places nearby in North Beach. Pros: Great for Tourists, Garlic Cons: Parking, Crowded more

Great place! 3/15/2005

We had a great experience here -- delicious food and a cozy, romantic table enclosed by curtains. The bagna calda is amazing, as is the lasagna. Drawbacks: very crowded on a Sunday night, don't have Italian beer (how is that possible?), service felt rushed, though friendly. I can't come to San Francisco without going here - the food is that good! Pros: Delicious, Romantic, Atmosphere Cons: Crowded, Beer selection more

I Think It's Better at Night 2/28/2005

Went there for lunch and was very disappointed. I've heard such great things about this restaurant but then tasted their food. The best part was the Bagna Calda. I could eat their roasted garlic and bread all day. The BBQ Chicken Pizzetta appetizer was ""eh."" Shrimp pasta was way too cheese-saucy. The Garlic Brasied Boneless Short Rib was OK. And the Roasted Rabbit tasted sour, most likely due to the green olives in the sauce. I guess this place is more about the atmosphere that the food. I wouldn't go here again more

Stinking Wonderful!! 2/5/2005

Happened upon this place in LA. Wish it were a national chain. Bring one to Denver, PLEASE! Had the lamb ravioli. more

Great food! 6/3/2004

My husband and I had great crab dishes here, and the ambience was very nice - had a small booth with curtains on it, low lighting, etc. Service was good, and it wasn't too expensive for San Francisco! Yummy desserts, too. Pros: good food, inexpensive, nice ambience more
