Family owned and operated, the Ridley Sports Club (RSC) has been serving the community since 1986. We are a full service health club offering more amenities than the large chains and we provide the personalized service and attention that only a local hometown business can offer. RSC has 3 Weight Rooms, each with its own focus, providing those who are just starting out with a separate space from those more experienced with more challenging routines. Weight training can help you lose weight, reduce stress, build muscle and bone strength, and tone and define your body. It can be particularly beneficial in the prevention of osteoarthritis. The Life Fitness Strength Training Circuit Series, our newest line of equipment, is easy to operate and extremely effective for individuals at any fitness level. The circuit utilizes self-contained tension resistance bands in place of weights which are set with easy to reach push buttons. This allows the user to maintain an elevated heart rate while moving quickly through a sequence of exercises, delivering a total body workout in 30 minutes or less. Proper circuit training can significantly improve strength, endurance, body composition, and cardiovascular conditioning.RSC members are given a free fitness assessment and workout program which is updated periodically. Our friendly staff will show you how to use the equipment properly and are on hand to answer your questions, or help fine tune your routine.We also have an outstanding group of Personal Trainers that provide One-on-One Personal Training Sessions that may be purchased to enhance your workout experience. There is no better way to motivate yourself and guarantee results than to work with one of our excellent Personal Trainers.RSCs Indoor Track allows members to walk or jog in comfort, regardless of the weather outside. The special rubberized flooring ensures a safe, stable surface.Saunas and steam rooms are a great way to relax after a vigorous workout. Time spent in a sauna or a steam room in moderation raises metabolism and body temperature increasing the bodys natural detoxification and purification processes, and alleviating stress. As a Basic Member at RSC you can visit the Steam Room whenever you please. If steam isnt your thing, the club's dry sauna may be more to your liking. There's no effort involved in taking a sauna or steam, you just stretch out and let the heat do the work.RACQUETBALL / WALLYBALLRacquetball and Wallyball are fast-paced games - excellent workouts with a competitive edge. RSC has two Courts for individual or team play. Open Wallyball games take place weekly among a friendly group of regular players who are always looking to welcome new teammates and competitorsRSC has a modern HEX II Tanning Booth on-site for the convenience of our members. While Tanning is not included with membership, tanning packages and individual sessions are reasonably priced and affordable. RSC has a private Massage room and Massage appointments can be booked at the front desk. Massage is not included with membership. There is an additional charge for this service
