The Painted Potter Studio

Staff here (heather) had the worst customer service I have ever seen anywhere. She was straight rude!we brought our friend there for her birthday they did not have the pottery that we had ordered before hand.. the girl would jot assist us with anything and then rushed us out of there(literally told us to stop painting now cause they close in 5 min) should have gave us a 15 min warning at least. So we paid for unfinished items. When we asked to speak to a manager heather lied and said it was her. After yelling across the place to her other co worker and being on her cell phone and rude comments the entire time we were there. That girl is not the manager and gave us a horrible experience! more

This was my first visit to the painted potter and I really liked the whole idea of painting a unique piece to make it all your own. The place is inviting and brightly lit. Their website says they have stencils to use, but they do not, so keep that in mind when you go. They do have a couple of books with pictures of past projects their customers have made for you to look at for inspiration. It was a fun thing to do with my friends. However, there was very little guidance/help from the staff. They pretty much sat at the counter the whole time and we would have to ask them questions or to get help with the clogged paint bottles. Granted, they were helpful when we asked a question, but you had to ask. If you are planning on making fine details, bring your own skinny paintbrush as their thin ones are limited and a little shappy looking. They have plenty of the larger brushes. Overall, it was fun, but I just expected the staff to be a little more helpful and at least check on us here-and-there to see if we had any questions regarding techniques. more

I have always had a fantastic experience at the Painted Potter and my children love it! The girls are always very helpful especially because I have young children. I have seen more adult customers being rude than the "young" girls that work there, and they still handle themselves very well. I would and do recommend this place to all of my friends!! --Clarissa more

I have been a customer of the studio for at least 4 years now, and in the past year the studio has totally gone down hill. The management is plain terrible,the pottery is way over priced, and the new decor is tacky. The employees get more and more disrespectful and incompetent every time I come in the studio. I am done with The Painted Potter and would not recommend any one to waste their time and money and to be treated so badly. more

They do not stand behind the errors their clerks make and expect the customer to accept work with mistakes. The clerks are talking to each other, on their cell phone, or painting their own pieces instead of assisting the customer. Can anyone recommend another studio as I will NOT go back to this one!!! more

One of the first things I noticed about this place is it's bright and inviting interior. Next, a flat studio fee. Some paint-your-own pottery places charge a fee then more by the hour. This one charges a reasonable fee plus the cost of the pottery. No pressure about the time. They also have a party area which is set up very nice. They have gift cards available, which is great for a teenager that is hard to shop for. Makes a nice stocking stuffer, too. Fun, fun, fun. Now if I could only get my husband to go with me...... more
