the food here is pretty good, and they also have their own pearl milk tea (though if you're cheap like me, I buy my pearl milk tea from quickly's and bring it here =p). they have lots of tvs showing asian music videos, which is cool if you're into asian music. service is pretty good. there's an old teahouse branch in UC Davis, and my davis friends are crazy about that place. Overall, pretty decent. more

Their original pearl milk tea is the best, though they also offer a huge variety of other flavors and drinks including slushies. Definitely super size whatever drink you order to get the most out of your money. The food here is mediocre. The portions and prices are fair, but all their dishes taste of too much soy sauce. It is a pretty clean place and the service is friendly. Bonus points if you like dramatic Asian music videos and movies. more

I've been going to Old Tea House since I've been in Berkeley. They have the best boba teas in my opinion. The teas/slushies/shakes/whatever are always flavorful and don't taste too fake like other boba places...The boba is always soft but not too soft...some places make it too soft so they basically melt in your mouth and I'm not too fond of that. Pricing is average, but they do offer a frequent drinkers card. Service is fast but not too friendly. more

The Old Teahouse 9/28/2005

The Old Teahouse has a very neat authentic feel to it. The restaurant is very cute and nice, and there's several flat screen TVs playing Chinese movies or music videos. Students love this place because of the low prices and it is open late to accomodate students who need a late snack. The food is pretty good, and the restaurant is clean. The service is also very good. The Old Teahouse is a nice place to eat at with a friend, or to just get a boba. People love going to just hang out and socialize with friends. You should try it out if you like Chinese food. more
