Beautiful venue ~~ TERRIBLE FOOD!! 7/12/2011

This is a beautiful venue that we used for a wedding reception. Staff were very helpful and great to work with, but the food was terrible! The wedding cake was included in our per-person price ~~ it was dry and everything we wanted for decorations were not included, so we got a plain white cake that we had to add our own flowers to. The food catered by the staff was bland and horrible. There was certainly not enough food for the size of our event, and the meat sauce had no meat for our pasta! I would definitely recommend the venue ~~ it's beautiful, but bring your own caterer!! more

A true GEM near Nashville 9/20/2010

Extended Family Vacation We enjoyed a week at the Inn at Walking Horse Farm. The breakfasts were wonderful and very filling. Three siblings, a niece, and spouses were treated to a beautiful setting in the ""hills"" of Tennessee. It is a short 20 miles from many of the Nashville spots, and Franklin itself has much to offer. The accommodations were ""just right"", and our hosts were attentive but unobtrusive. Our week went by way to quickly...and we all felt we had made new friends of our hosts when we left. It was the PERFECT getaway! more

Our Wedding 4/27/2010

The Inn was Perfect!!! 4/15/2008

The Inn at Walking Horse Farm was fantastic in so many ways! We found the Inn online looking for a wedding venue to hold my wedding. My mother and I went out to the Inn and met with Sherry and Dwight, the proprieters. They were incredibly gracious, funny and easy to get along with. We loved driving up the driveway and seeing the horses grazing on either side of the fence as well as the spectacular views of the surrounding hills and countryside. We decided to book the Inn and continue planning the wedding. And it is so competitively priced! We originally booked the Inn for June 14th of 2008 but found out that my fiance (now husband) and I were expecting a baby. So in late January we had to call Sherry and she gaciously found and booked us on another day so we could take care of the wedding even sooner than planned. They did not penalize us at all on our deposit and were so helpful in getting the wedding planned and taken care of that I really don't know what I would have done without them! Sherry and Dwight took care of the wedding and the rehearsal dinner like they were planning their own daughters! The food was fantastic, the flowers were beautiful and the Inn itself was amazing! I stayed at the Inn as a guest the night before the wedding as did my grandparents and we were thrilled with the rooms, the comfort of the beds and the amazing homemade breakfast ready for us in the morning when we woke up! I was so happy to have breakfast, because it was one of the few times I got to eat on my wedding day, but that was just because it was a big blur! Sherry and Dwight made sure Robert and I got a doggy bag of all of the amazing food they prepared! Overall, I could not have asked for a better place to hold my wedding or a better Bed and Breakfast to have enjoyed the weekend at! I absolutely recommend this B and B to anyone looking for a wedding venue!! more

Great Southern Hospitality! 4/13/2008

I would asdvise anyone who wants to just getaway to stay at this bed and breakfast. The house and property are picture perfect. The owners were extremely accomodatinng and very friendly. The breakfast food was delicious and I looked forward to it every morning of my stay. Dwight and Sherry are one of a kind people I enjoyed my time there greatly. I would also recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone planning a wedding, meeting etc. You won't be disappointed! Pros: Everything about it was great! Cons: None! more

Very accomodating! 9/11/2007

After reading both of the reviews, we decided to go ahead and stay at this bed and breakfast. First, I can't even begin to understand where the person who gave a bad review could give such a horrible one. It was unfortunate that they over booked, but these people were very accomodating and I'm sure did whatever they could to make it right. They wen't above and beyond to make us feel at home and to tell us where to go while we were in Franklin. We have stayed at several bed and breakfast and this was the most delightful experience yet. The breakfast was delicious and the accomodations were great. They have beautiful show horses on their property that we saw as we drove up to this charming inn up on a hill. I would 100% recommend this to anyone, I already have to my mom and she plans on staying there in the near future. We can't wait to go back!!!!! more

AWESOME EXPERIENCE 7/30/2007

I had the opportunity to spend 5 nights at the Inn at Walking Horse Farm in July 2007 with my husband. We were there for job interviews and to purchase a home. The owners of the Walking Horse were extremely helpful and very friendly. The breakfasts they served every morning where absolutely fabulous and we look forward to vising them again. The grounds and accommodations were first class and very clean and orderly. Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing and I would recommend it to anyone. more

Absolutely Unacceptable 5/23/2007

The Inn at Walking Horse Farm is a dishonorable business. If you are planning a wedding, I would look elsewhere. more
