Visits always lasted at least 2-hours 7/29/2009

Good: The shots worked on my head / neck ache. Bad: My appointment always lasted two hours, no matter what time I scheduled the appointment. First thing in the morning, right after lunch, last appointment of the day.. Improvements: They overbook; they know they overbook. Everytime a patient comes into the office they have a sheet of paper on the arrival, what time they were taken into a room, when a nurse (?) saw them, doctor, etc. They accidentally placed this sheet of paper on my stomach after a procedure.. Other: Looking for another clinic.... more

After Dr. Mathyss numbed my back for the removal of a malignant melanoma, he stated he needed to leave for a short errand. He left with a casually dressed man and did not return until 2-1/2 hours later after I had waited in the room alone in a paper top. He was also not a MOHS trained surgeon--they specialize solely in treating skin cancers. After I healed and went to my follow-up, he only performed a brief view of my back and felt that I was clear of any more malignant melanomas.No other areas of my body was examined.I contacted the American Cancer Society--they educated me quick! I went to a different dermatologist soon after---he did a full body check--and discovered 2 more maglinant melanomas--and referred me to a MOHS trained surgeon. My procedure was performed in a surgery suite with anesthesia. I would never trust Mathyss with my life again. He also falsified facts in one of his reports--- now he is practicing in North Kansas City instead of Headache and Pain Center. I could have died from this particular metastisizing cancer if not for quitting him and seeking out the other dermatologist and the referred MOHS surgeon. Remember, some people graduate at the bottom of their class. Scary! more

great Dermatologist 9/21/2005

My husband skin has never looked better! he started going to Dr. Brian Matthy office just 2 years ago, and I see a dramatic improvement on his faces. He used has a very oily skin and acne breakout all the time especially summer time. But now it looks much better. Although he still gets oily skin but he tried to keep the skin clean and have been on and off using the prescription facial cleanser for 2 year. more
