The Color Studio & Salon

Yesterday was my first time to go to The Color Studio & Salon and it won't be my last. My hairdresser was Angie and she was great! She did a wonderful job adding partial highlights to my hair. We worked together to find the perfect color combination for me. And it turned out amazing. Thank you Angie!! Love my new summer look. more

I just had my hair color done with MIchael. This is the first time I have ever had it done correctly. He told me he specializes in Color . I will recommend him to all my friends. I did have to call him direct since he is independent from the salon 469-855-3605. Thanks Michael for such a great job!!!!!!! more

I have spent a lot of time in Dallas looking for someone to give me perfect long layers. Finally I found Jorge Dohnert! He is WONDERFUL! First things first, we had a nice consultation where we discussed what I wanted my hair to be able to do then he explained to me artistically what he was going to make happen. After agreeing on a game plan we went to work. I have never in my life been so happy with a haircut! He did a phenomenal job! He took his time, didn't rush me and was incredibly entertaining. My advice is to go to him, give him a brief idea of what you are looking for, and let the artist do his job! Thanks Jorge! more

Ok, First of all I never used any special hair products till I met Angie. The most informative, non-pushy, realistic stylist I know. more

Sadly, Angie does not reflect what others users have written up about her all over Insiderpages. I definitely suspect some suspicion from all the positive reviews. I too still have dye all along my hairline, by my ears, on my forehead, and even on my arm somehow. As far as the haircut, this stylist did not know what ""blending in"" the haircut meant, she literally asked me what I meant by that, and I had to explain to her to make the choppy layers she created look like it's a part of the rest of my haircut and not like I did it myself at home. My bangs are awful, and after asking her to also blend in my bangs with the rest of the haircut and not like I got scissors myself and literally cut a line of hair across my forehead, her exact reply was ""they will grow out"" and that I could only achieve sideswept bangs with the use of hair products (without even bothering to demonstrate how). Oh, and if you have a coupon, do NOT expect the ""style"" part of the coupon. After she styled my hair with a blowdryer and her styling fingers after her smoke break, I had to ask her myself to style my hair, I.E. a ""blow out"", and she proceeded to do only the front of my hair with a small round brush that was wholly inappropriate for my longer hair and more suitable for very short hair. Frustrating experience overall, I feel bad for those coming in with a coupon. This one was definitely a big mistake and I do not plan on coming back here. I would NOT recommend this strange salon. more

Candace did my hair color yesterday and she was fabulous. She took her time during the initial consultation and then proceeded to make me look great - blow dry and all. I could tell she really enjoys what she does and I'm really happy with the end result. My only regret is that I didn't have time to also have her cut my hair. I'll definitely be going back. It's so hard to find a good colorist and stylist, and I'm thrilled to have found Candace! more

Jorge has cut my hair of which has several cowlicks and grows in several different directions on my head and he always manages to cut my hair to where it looks great. more

Jorge possess the two most important qualities that a stylist must have. One, he listens to what you want and he delivers. Two, he has the knowledge and expertise of a hair magician. He gave me highlights and a style to die for!!! And on top of that, he is truly a warm and wonderful person. I felt so welcomed the minute I sat in his chair. He had me laughing the entire time. I have lived in both LA and Chicago, and Jorge is truly a gem of a find! I would love to keep him my dirty little secret, but he is just too wondeful not to share with the world! more

I have been going to MIchelle Welsh for 6 years now, and she does a great job every time. She's always consistently good which is hard to find in a hair stylist. I've had so many that do a good job one time and a horrible job the next. She's always open to any suggestions, or if I don't have any ideas about what to do with my hair, she'll find cute hairstyle pictures for me. In the last year, she's started highlighting my hair, and it looks great. My husband loves me as a blonde, and it looks so natural that most people think my blonde 2 year old takes after her mommy. She's reasonably priced compared to other hair stylists. The Color Studio is easy to get to -right off Campbell and Preston, and Michelle has convenient hours. She's about to do an updo for my daughter, and she was more than willing to stay past her regular quitting time. Besides being a great hair stylist and colorist, she's also a fantastic listener. I really can't say enough nice things about Michelle. You should give her a try, and you'll never go to anyone else again! Pros: Michelle Welsh more

I had a great stylist but he moved away a few years ago. Since then I?ve gone through so many bad and just so-so hair stylists it?s just depressing. You just don?t know until you try them out. Thanks to Cheyenne my search is over. She is so nice and I have had so many compliments on my hair that it?s made me want to actually write a review and I?ve never done so before. She was incredibly thorough and listened to what I wanted and also gave honest input as to what would and would not look good on me. She has done my cut and color twice now and the second one was even better than the first. She told me what she had learned from our first meeting and made some adjustments. After seeing SCOTT I felt like I had my own hair stylist to the stars just for me. This was the most personalized service I have ever had! SCOTT is more concerned with how I look than any agenda or product line. When you leave SCOTT's you know without a shadow of a doubt that he has devoted every second to ensure a (10) car pile up as soon as you walk out the door. SCOTT is the only PROFESSIONAL that I would be willing to close my eyes and let him do what he thought best!!! Only because I am overly confident that he has the forsight & skill of a HAIR GENIUS. Think I am just pouring compliments on a friend or family member? Then go see SCOTT and see if you are not the next review on here thanking me for letting you know. Holley is an excellent colorist. If your hair is destroyed due to over processing or poor previous color, let Holley fix it! Trust her advice and you'll end up looking great. more

OMG! She just did my hair last night and I love it! She also has done my sister, my mother, and a few other girlfriends' hair. All flawless! She actually listened to what I wanted, and make everything so simple. She was so pleasant to be around, that I didn't feel like I was just getting my hair done, but rather I was with a friend who just happened to know how to cut, dye, style my hair. In fact she is SO amazing that I booked her for my wedding and reception this November. She also does makeup & when my friends saw the finished work, they instantly demanded details. I've been looking for a great salon for a while, since my last attempt for a unique style ended in disaster at a local salon. Not the case this time. As soon as I saw Holley with her AWESOME hair, I KNEW I was in good hands, and that she wouldn't let me leave the salon until I looked great, and made sure that I got what I wanted. I will DEFINANTLY be back. I've been getting sooo many compliments from friends all over the world. Thank you sooo much Holley, and the staff of The Color Studio & Salon!!!!!!! This place is FANTASTIC! I walked in with a horrible cut and color a year ago and Pam has transformed my hair into a beautiful work of art. Fun place to go- fabulous results. This color is really beautiful- highlights and lowlights look so good- I am so thankful that I found this place after THREE years of hopping from salon to salon, trying to find someone that could get my color right. After getting a bad hair cut in Frisco, Texas, I was on a search for someone who knew how to cut long, thick, naturally wavy hair. I also wanted a salon that used the Goldwell Color Line, Goldwell has been around for years, and that is what my prior stylist would use. I have tried other color lines, and this by far is the best, my hair feels healthy, and the color will last for a long time. Holley Primm, took her time with me, she knew exactly what hairstyle would look best with my face type, she did great low lights as well, and since she has been doing my hair I have received so many compliments! Pros: Expert with Long, thick hair, and good with color more
