The Clinton House continues to offer excellent food and service. It is a wonderful spot for a special occasion meal followed by a walk through scenic Clinton. Don't forget to have dessert from their own in house bakery. Truly a beautiful destination. more

This is the perfect place for a romantic meal mid week. We were seated in the beamed back room near the fireplace, which was much quieter than the main restaurant. Food was excellent, I had the lamb, and my wife had the steak. Good wine list choices, and the Octoberfest special Pumpkin martini was a great way to start the evening. more

I had the opportunity to dine for lunch on Halloween using the on line open table. My reservation was perfect and was seated exactly where I requested. The service and the meal was wonderful. Had the opportunity to lunch with a very good out of town friend. more

We went on the Sat before Labor Day and had most of the restaurant to ourselves at lunch. Service was very good. Prices were reasonable. Everything was very good though, my son's blackened mako shark Caesar salad was a great combination. The deserts were of less interest but tasty enough. We plan on going back, get the crabcakes if you like seafood. more

Had reservations for 10 (9attended) for 3pm on Father's Day. The room was very quaint and European with respect to tudor, stained glass and stone fireplace. Mom is British and our family has been to England many times and with respect to the atmosphere, this was like a little trip abroad (more German looking in our room-our son loved the sauerbraten). My three brothers, husband and son all were looking forward to the Beef Wellington. Banter went back and forth for days on what if only one is left? It was quite hysterical really. In the end, there was no Beef Wellington on that particular day, but it is on the menu generally. There was a Father's Day special menu including Salad, Entree, coffee and dessert. All were wonderful at a reasonable price! One could dine off the regular menu except for the BW. Several of us did. Not one complaint from anyone in our group. Mom, who always finds ""something"" loved her prime rib and the portion was such she brought the remainder home-that was on the special ($27.00). Our server was great, the food timely and altogether. My vodka gimlet arrived full to the rim. more

Went to the Clinton House for a last minute change for a Birthday Dinner closer to home than driving to Bucks County, PA. I could not be any happier with my experience. EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING was just perfect from our server to the drinks to ALL the food. The martinis were in nice size glasses and made exactly to our liking. The appetizers of Mussels Marinara, which I was not expecting much because this is not an Italian restaurant, but were probably the best I have ever tasted. My Prime Rib was huge and cooked temperature was wonderful!, as well as my dining party's Strip Steak. Desserts were to die for....needless to say....I will be coming back here as often as possible! more

Clinton House is an icon in the local area. A place where you can get a traditional cocktail, as well as a modern one. Have a nice beer selection, an excellent dinner menu. They offer great downhome style cooking, dishes like Crabmeat Au Gratin, Beef Wellington, Saurbraten w all the trimmings. Seasonal menus, fresh ingredients, all served with a very friendly and attentive waitstaff. more

Went for Friday dinner on recommendation by staff at Marriott Courtyard. I had the clam bake special for $30 and was not disappointed. Lobster, clams, mussels, sausage, corn, chicken wings and baked potato. Generous portion and properly steamed so the lobster was tender and not over cooked. My wife had the beef filet au poivre. It was a big filet so I got several bites and can attest to excellent flavor, texture and properly medium rare. more

We happily and fortunately stumbled upon Clinton House after having been snubbed by the rude and haughty people at restaurant across the river. Carol was so welcoming and friendly the moment we walked in, we knew that we were going to have a good experience. The menu was a bit surprising since the décor of the restaurant was very old fashioned, we expected a menu with only old classics and comfort food. We gravitated towards the specials. My husband had the pecan crusted pork tenderloin and it was perfectly cooked and moist. I had the blackended mahi mahi over the Caesar salad and it was perfectly cooked and moist. Mahi Mahi is a challenging fish to cook as it can easily become dry if overcooked, but their chef did an excellent job. Even my kids were amazed at how moist and tender their homemade chicken fingers were. We plan to go back for a visit with my in laws soon! more

Love this place. There is a reason it has been here forever. Same beef you can get in a New York steak house without the drive. Love the Prime Rib and also some of the best Clams Casino you can find. more
