Chestnut Bakery 6/30/2006

This is really not my favorite bakery in the San Francisco area. You can get way better deals (lower prices) elsewhere. For example go to the Russian Bakery on Geary Boulevard (there things are cheaper and taste better.) I didnt really like the quality of their pastries, they were really just not quiet to my taste. I could basically hear the sugar grinding on my teeth. It was pretty empty and quite so there was lotsof room to sit and chill, but thats about it for the positives. more

Bakery 6/28/2006

I had a mediocre experience at the Chestnut Bakery. The cakes they have there are a little too sweet and they were out of coffee when I came. The pasteries are unusually expensive, approximately $5-6. There are lots of way better bakeries throughout San Francisco. The only thing I like about this bakery though was that it was not full, and you can find a comfortable place to sit down. posts and comments here more
