Not what it used to be 4/15/2006

The Broadway Market is a nice place to visit but it's not what it used to be. It's got a lot of junk in it now. It used to be a place where you could go to buy fresh meats, vegetables and such. The people would sit around and chat over a morning cup of coffee. Now it's a lot of junk dealers and not the same atmosphere it used to be. Don't get me wrong, it's still nice. Just not as nice as it used to be. Easter just isn't the same without some fresh polish sausage and butter lamb from the Broadway market! more

Nice and Fresh 3/25/2006

If you are looking for that particular meat or special food for the holiday season there is a good chance you will find it here. This market brings the style and freshness of an old style market to the modern era of supermarkets. If nothing else it is fun to walk around and look at the various types of special foods that are sold here. Great for the holiday meals. more

Great old time market 12/17/2005

This is a great place to get your holiday foods. It's authentic and great tasting. We go every year to get our easter sausage and it is the best tasting. The only thing is you better get there early. Last year every store in the place sold out of the holiday sausage. My kids like getting the painted eggs every year to add to their collection. more

Markets like these are a thing of the Past 8/30/2005

The Broadway Market has been around forever. My grandparents use to go there thats how old it is. I like to go there every year to shop around and I have to have a buttered lamb. They have wonderful homemade pastries, desserts, meats and gifts. It takes a good part of your time to walk through there. I only go there around Easter time. It is out of the way in the city. It's been around for a long time and is a thing of the past. Its something you don't see around anymore. There use to be places like that all over the city at one point in time in the past. This is the only thing of its kind left. Something to consider somewhat historical of what things use to be like. It's a great thing for something different to do. more

Broadway Market 8/20/2005

Going to the Broadway Market on Good Friday has been a tradition in my family for years and is something that I continue to do. They have an excellent variety of meats, pastries, candies and more. I buy all of my baked goods for Easter Sunday here. The prices and variety can't be beat!! This is a place I would frequent more often, if I lived closer. more

Awesome Place!! 8/20/2005

Since 1888, the Broadway Market has been known for unique products and personal service, with more than 40 meat stands, poultry stands, produce counters, bakeries, delis, candy stands and restaurants. Family-owned businesses, passed from generation to generation, have created some of Buffalo's best loved foods. The market is open from 8 to 5 Mon-Sat. This is a great way of promoting local businesses, and you should support them in their cause. They also offer spaces for new businesses and their rents for that are very low. Be sure to check this place out. more
