So good it is a weekly visit 8/14/2009

Super fresh sushi with friendly service make this our home away from home. My husband didn't even eat sushi until our first visit to Thai Spice about 5 years ago - they have eased him into trying new varieties while I just tell James and Nu - give me the chef's choice. Pros: fresh, fabulous sushi Cons: i eat so much sushi that I end up taking home my Thai order more

Thai Spice Good is Terrific 6/20/2009

I have been eating there for years. You can modify the heat to your liking. They have fresh ingredients, plentiful portions, and sometimes a new special dish. The buffet on weekdays is exceptional quality for so many foods. This restaurant is one of my favorites. It sometimes has live music...try it out. Quaint with small bar. Thai Spice is fantastic! I recently moved to Denver and am currently craving the delicious food at Thai Spice. Their pineapple fried rice and pad thai are great! This place has wonderful food and great prices. We went for lunch and will definately be back again. The buffet was very fresh with plenty of food. Higher quality sushi rolls that at most places you would have to order off the menu. The best Miso Soup I have ever had! Pros: Very good food Cons: parking is tight at lunch more

Best overall sushi buffet in Austin 9/18/2007

This is one of my favorite Austin restaurants. Great sushi and I especially loved the spicy tuna rolls. They're delicious and very low priced. The servers are very nice, although kind of quiet. Wonderfully authentic 4/25/2007

This is the best thai food restaurant in Austin hands down. The food is simply divine. The spices are mixed in right proportions to impart just the right flavors and to appeal to all of your senses. The ""Taste of Ginger"" is my favorite. The environment is just right, and the service is good. Overall a wonderfull experience for any ocassion. First time I went was in February 2006 and had been back at least once a month. This place is addictive!!! more

There are not enough words to describe my experience at Thai Spice. The positive reviews are an accurate depiction of what you can expect at this lovely Thai restaurant. The food? Amazing. The decor? Who would have thought...Thai Spice is a great little restaurant in Lakeway that completely took me by surprise. Everthing that I have ordered here (Yellow Curry, Pepper Steak, Dumplings, Fried Rice, Chicken Terikaki) have all been excellent. Throw in the two piece jazz band for a little ambiance, and you are set. Next up I will give the Sushi a go... Only annoyance here is that the service is generally slow, so order a beverage and relax, you will be in for a treat when your order arrives. Pros: Good Parking, Not Crowded Cons: Slow service more

Surprisingly good! 11/14/2005

Having just moved here from NYC, was pleasently surprised to find such good asian cuisine, especially being out here in Lakeway. Their lunch buffet of sushi and salad is very good and an incredible deal, but their thai entrees are their specialty. Would strongly recommend the Chicken Saigon Noodle and Red Curry Chicken. Pad Thai Chicken is excellent as well. more

I try to eat here as often as possible. For the price the food can not be compaired to any of the other local asian food resturants. I have tryed them all. Only Sushi in Lakeway 8/15/2005

Luckily the sushi is good, since Thai Spice is the only restaurant in Lakeway that offers it. Not all the rolls that they offer are on the sushi menu. Excellent thai...Chicken in Peanut Sauce is especially good. I liked the curries too. Will definately be back! Prices were very reasonable, about $12 entrees, $3 beer. I tried a beef dish too, I think I will stick to the veggie and chicken next time. Wait staff was very young, but nice and very helpful. Sushi is available only Wed to Sat.
