If youre used to the ""americanized"" or the SF style type of Thai cooking, then this restaurant might be a disappointment and may not be for you. This Thai restaurant cooks AUTHENTIC thai food - which means that the food here is cooked a little different than most thai restaurant youre used to. I used to order the garlic pepper pork in SF, which is dry, flavorful and spicier. But when I ordered it here, it was cooked with lootsa onions, some vegetables and a bit ""saucy"". I was a bit disappointed at first, but after a while I gotten used to the taste. I ordered 2 more times ( togo this time) and enjoyed it. The other appetizer, like the deep fry shrimp rolls, the stuffed chicken, the hot/sour (shrimp or pork) soup are prepared and cooked just as the same as the americanized version.
The service is warm and attentive. Although, the last time I was here, there was this new waitress who you really need to get her attn to get serviced and once you get her attn, she will stand there for a while and stare at you, as if wundering...""What else does he need?""
Overall, if you havent tried authentic thai foof before, then this Thai Satay is a great choice. However, if you have tried the americanized style of cooking, this one may be a disappointment.
Enjoy.
