Excellent Thai food and usually great service too 3/8/2007

I eat here as often as I can - i love this place (all KC locations). My favorite is the Sen Me Pad See Eau - but everything else has been great as well - especailly all the noodle dishes. A lot of fun w/ a group or even by yourself. more

READ THE REVIEWS -- Best Thai food in Kansas City area 10/30/2006

Spent a couple of years in Seattle recently and became a Thai food afficianado. In fact, I was concerned that I might as well forget Thai food after returning to the area. That negativity disappeared once we tried the Thai Place. Several locations in Kansas City so don't limit yourself to this location only...try 119th & Quivira or for a real treat, Arun Thai Place at 7th and Grand Ave., downtown. Atmosphere is even better at these last 2 although I understand that the Santa Fe location is newly remodeled. Pros: Great tastes, creativity and presentation Cons: Watch the spice! more

Casual yet Romantic 2/23/2004

It's a wonderfull place for a romantic dinner, a family outing, or a large gathering. They even have separate halls with different ambience and decor that can be rented to private parties. Pros: Great food, Ambience, Prompt service more

Cozy Place 2/10/2003

I was very pleased with the food, the service and the atmosphere. When they say 'hot' (spice level), they mean hot. I found out the hard way. If you like Thai food, this place is a must. Pros: food, service Cons: location more

THE place for Thai 12/17/2002

By far the best Thai food in town. (And I've had it all.) It's just the location and interior design that leave much to be desired. Although, rumor has it, they've open a new location in in Westport. more

Exceptional Thai food 7/26/2002

We have frequented almost every Thai Restaurant in town and the Thai Place is by far our favorite. Our criteria for the food is 1) exceptional flavor and 2) spicy. We generally will have the Chicken Galanga soup (medium to hot), which has exceptional flavor along with Phad Thai (hot). We generally get the food for takeout these days, since we have a small baby. She likes Phad Thai (mild). Occasionally, the level of heat is inconsistent so that if we request hot its mild and visa versa. We strongly recommend this restaurant to our friends, who in turn recommend it to friends they know. Its good Thai food! more
