First off, the service was slow (at least for our table, I watched other dinners getting attentive service, but not our table. After ordering drinks, it took 15 minutes for the waitress to return with the water, when other diners who came in after us, already had theirs. The excuse was that she was putting the beer in the freezer to get cold, wait a minute, this is the hottest weekend this year, it was over 95 outside, and they didn't think to put any beer in the coolers? On to the food, the appetizer (Pork Dumplings) was very good, but they came out so fast, you would have to believe they were not fresh, but pre-made and thrown in the deep fryer for a few minutes. As for the Entree, my wife had the Eggplant Stir fry, which was very bland. I had the Pineapple Curry which was decent, but had so much sauce that the food was lost in the mix.. here too the food was bland, although the curry sauce was nice.. Bottom line, I would not go here again, nor recommend this restaurant to anyone.. more

The food is ok but the service is horrible. Wait staff did not smile or seem to care that you are present. more

this restaurant should be closed down. the food is unauthentic and is an insult to the thai culture. our server spoke broken english at best and was indisputably rude as hell. ticket times very slow. fountain coke contained bleach. food served cold. currey more like a bamboo cream soup. most of the ingredients were not indicative of autthentic thai food. what was most glaring was the canned bamboo, frozen vegtables and other the unfresh and poor quality ingredients. the menu entrees are overpriced without any rational relationship to the value conferred. i would not eat at this restaurant if the food was for free. if you cannot find another thai restaurant, i suggest going without thai food. more

I thought this place was awful and overpriced.\r Here are the reasons not to go here:\r \r 1) Horrible service. It took 25 minutes for our order to be taken. Also I had one refill the entire meal.\r \r 2) My chicken was terribly undercooked, it was basically RAW! I should have sent it back, but I'm an idiot and I didn't realize until I was done with half my dish. The curry was also very watery and not that great.\r \r 3) Again terrible service. We asked for our check to be split before we placed our order. They told us okay. But when the check came it was all together and REFUSED to split it for us. Saying they could only split it in 2 saying our party of 6 was too big.\r \r I DO NOT recommend going here. I should have known something was wrong when every other restaurant was packed at city place and this one was deserted. more

1. Noodle dishes were dry and bland (both my husband & I got noodles and were both not happy)\r Note: I think our dishes sat under the heater for sooooo long that they dried out, but the taste still was not good.\r \r 2. Service was slow even though we were there at 5pm\r \r 3. Way over priced!!\r \r Disappointed because I went for my birthday last night. Can't get that night back! Don't go! more

I ate at Thia Jo on a Friday night and service was horrible. It took 30 minutes before we were acknowledged by a waiter. It took an additional 15 minutes to receive our drinks. We finally received our appetizers an HOUR after being seated. After eating our appetizers we waited 25 minutes before our rolls came out. We waited and waited and it turns out the food was sitting in the pick up window, our waiter never went to pick it up! The food is already over priced but I expected some type of good service at this place. Our waiter just kept saying "I'm sorry" over and over, yet the place was not packed enough to have to wait so long for just a glass of water and a few rolls. \r \r I will NEVER return to Thai Jo and since Thia Jo and Sushi Jo are owned by the same people, I will not frequent Sushi Jo either! If your looking for "OK" Sushi and Terrible service then go to Thai Jo and waste your money. more

July 16th 2010 10:06pm Check number 2094 Guests 3 table 33/1 Sever Moon P\r \r We live within a 5 minute walk to Thai Jo. It was always a favorite of mine. You were greeted out front and entered into a nice space with chill vibe music and friendly wait staff.\r \r What a difference not being "In Season" makes.\r \r We were greeted at the door and ushered inside. The music was gone. It was awhile till our server Moon came to our table. She took our order and we see little of her after that. \r \r Our meals came out and we were never asked if everything was alright. Our glasses were never refiled. We had to ask where our waitress was to claim the check\r \r NOW THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD.\r \r We looked around and it seemed the wait staff had a case of "just bring the food out" with little or no interaction to the dinner guests. \r \r No offer of would you like dessert. \r \r Dining room was less than half full and the outdoor tables had a few diners. The lack of service was not driven by a busy dining room.\r \r I go to the website www.sushijo.com to look for a contact number to email about my experience. Guess what? No email contact. That speaks to me that management does not desire customer feedback.\r \r Pass on this dining spot until service improves more

Terrible! The food is so overpriced and some of the leaves in my roll was wilted. My friend ordered a futomaki and got something else. The sushi pizza was good but way too overpriced for such a small dish. My friends and I agree, none of us would ever go back. more

Thai Jo was a real disappointment. I travel a lot and seek out Thai restaurants wherever I go. I know what to order and how it should taste, how it should look and be served. My dining partner and I left with the feeling that Thai Jo should be considered a source for Sushi, not for quality Thai cuisine. For the real thing, walk one block away and try Wild Ginger at 632 Hibiscus. more
