AWESOME 8/13/2006

Go early of call ahead. We arrived about 4:45 on a Saturday and were able to get seated immediately. Country atmosphere---when servers aren't busy they do line dances---kinda cute. There is a bucket of peanuts on your table to munch on. The rolls are HEAVEN!!! When they seat you they give you a basket of rolls straight from the oven. The rolls are served with their own special cinnamon honey butter. Husband loves their steak---while I prefer ribs or grilled chicken. Their green beans are cooked the old fashioned way with onion and bacon bits. Service is usually good---on our last visit it was a little slow. As we left---the waiting area was FULL and people were starting to wait outside. more

Very good 4/3/2006

I know that I am a carb lover but these rolls with that butter just rocks. Is it honey? Whatever it is, it works! If you are going on a Friday or Saturday night, I would go either early, early evening or as late as possible. It takes awhile to be seated. Plus, the times I've been there when its crowded, there is not enough waiting area. While waiting, you can snack on peanuts, how cute is that? I really enjoyed the salad. A few times, the steak was really greasey but okay. But, the overall atmosphere makes the place fun. Very loud with great music. more

MMMm MM! 3/30/2006

Some of the best rolls you'll find in the area. A super fun atmostphere, and a bucket full of circus peanuts free for you to chew up and spit out all over the floor. The wait is generally short to get in. Not reccommended as a first date place if you actually want to talk to each other in a quiet setting. Lots of fun, and a favorite of my familys. more

Family FUn 3/3/2006

Great place to eat with alot of character. Largely portioned foods makes great fun for large family gatherings picking off each others plates and the floor is covered in peanut shells. The best bread in the area and wonderful, friendly, spunky waiters and waitresses to add to the atmosphere. Very loud with your typical Texas/Country decor. Great place for parents with messy rambuncious kids. more

What a fun place to eat. They have buckets and barrels of peanuts to eat before, during, and after your meal. The bread is awesome. It is served with cinnamon butter which is also awesome. The food is very good with large portions. For birthdays they have the birthday person sit on a saddle and sing a song to them. The wait is long but they have call ahead seating and will put your name on a list and tell you when to arrive. more
