OUTSTANDING, AMAZING & DELICIOUS 4/13/2012

My fiance and I stopped on Thursday April 5th, 2012 at Texas Outlaw. We were traveling from Toledo, OH to Houston, TX. We admitedly were wanted to eat at Shoneys when they closed for repairments and we traveled right behind Shoney's and dined at Texas Outlaw. As the honest truth, this was the BEST food that my fiance and myself has EVER had as well as being treated so wonderfully! I ordered a certified steak, salad and sweet potato.. I could not tell you what was my favorite because it was all so OUTSTANDING and WONDERFUL! The ""home made ranch"" was to DIE for as well as the PEANUT BUTTER PIE! I would recommend Texas Outlaw to anyone! BTW: My server, Candy A and General Manager was so friendly and treated us like family! THANK YOU FOR SUCH WONDERFUL SERVICE! more

First time me and my wife ate there and we really enjoyed it. Had a live band playing that was really good. My steak was excellent and the service we got was great. The Amber Bach they have on tap is awesome. We will most definetly go back. Pros: Good sirloin, great beer selection, great butter for rolls Cons: Kind of high on prices more

WORST PLACE I EVER ATE 12/6/2009

My sister and I took our children there on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009 after Christmas shopping. I took us forever to get seated. We was the only one in line. Next, The waitress we had was playing hide and seek. Believe me, she was a great hider. It took us 45 minutes to received our order. And when we did the salad had a dirty taste like it had not been washed yet. Remember all those people who got sick because of the salad was dirt. Believe me, we did not eat it. And the ribs was burned. My nephew could not eat his ribs. We did not want to complained because it was several peopls there but come on that was horridable and believe me I would not let my worst enemy eat there. Oh yeah, did I mention the price I got one meal and fires for my son and two drinks and it cost me $27.94. That is highway robbery! I am glad that they won the cookoff contest but I don't see how they did. I am warning everybody please do not eat there. more

Don't Go Here 6/22/2009

We visited the Texas Outlaw Barbeque with a group of 8 people. It was one of the worst experiences we had. While the steaks were reasonably OK, the service, management, and rest of the food was extremely sub standard. First of all, they were out of slaw (on a Sunday afternoon), then our order got lost. When I complained to the manager, he got defensive about it and justified himself. We asked for small side salads to replace the cole slaw, but were told that they couldn't do that. It must have been a first for them, because the manager came to our table and told us that he had to make a judgement call and that he made the right one. We waited an hour for our food....which was cold and small portions. The chicken salads that were ordered at our table were extremely small in portion as was the pulled pork sandwich that I had. The staff was rude, defensive, and the service was poor, not to mention the food. This restaurant doesn't even have a website to register your complaints....and now I know why. We will never recommend or revisit this restaurant. I wondered why it was never busy when I passed it going to the Texas Roadhouse, and now I know why. Cons: The whole visit. more

worst dining experience I have ever had 2/19/2007

I usually dine here once a month but the night of19 feb. 2007 was the worst dining experience of my life.the hostess was rude seated my wife and I at the barside with a bunch of drunks that were loud and using langauge that would insult a sailor to coin a phrase.the service waspoor to start with and only got worst when I asked to be moved. our food took a long time the order was messed up,food over done, had to get someone else to get us refills as our waiteress outright ignored us. When I dine here it is usuallywith aparty of four or more. If in the future I go back if the servicehas not changed i will tell everyone Iknow to stay away from Texas Outlaw Barbeque Cons: worst night of my life more
