Tasca is an epicurean delight in the mouths of Bostonians. Nestled conveniently on Commonwealth Ave in Brighton it matches delicious Tapas with a uniquely European atmosphere. W...

I went to Tasca for the second time in a two years last Monday, and I did not enjoy my meal either trip. I tried 5-6 different plates and I would have to say I only enjoyed one of...

soo good 7/13/2004

It's yummy and romantic, great for a one on one date or a few friends. The sangria is excellent, and the tapas are great. The lighting is great, you feel as if you were dining in madrid. I love this place. Pros: Sangria is a must, Tapas more

Craving for More 5/13/2003

I absolutely love this restaurant. Quaint and cozy, the atmosphere lures you in, but once you taste your first tapas, you wish you had ordered ten more! The portabello mushrooms in the sherry wine sauce are absolutely incredible, along with every tapas i have tried. The service is a little inconsistent--it just depends on who you get when you go. However, my boyfriend and I continue to get a male server who is delightful. He attends to your every need while allowing you to have a private enjoyable dinner. Save room for desert because the pastel valesco is AMAZING. Pros: Amazing Food, Portuguese Beer, Cozy atmoshpere Cons: A little crowded more

Truly Great Experience 3/26/2003

Honestly, I have never had a better spanish food since I visited Spain! It was truly amazing and absolutely delicious. Great service- probably one of the best in the entire Boston! I definitely recommend this place!!!!! It is simple and unique. Pros: Romantic, Variety, Great Service Cons: parking can be tough more

Tapas and More 3/2/2003

The tapas selection is so awesome that one might not notice the main dinner menu, which is totally outstanding. The escargot in pastry was absolutely perfect, but the main chicken and beef dishes were overwhelmingly good. All was expertly prepared; the spices were creative and interesting, and were not over done. The whole dinner was filled with subtlety and satisfaction. The potato cake was grand, and even the wait staff managed not to smile in their apparently now famous condescending way. Some how, we were spared, though slightly disappointed. We just walked in, had a drink (the wine list is very inviting), sat down and had dinner. It was very easy. When we go back to Boston, we will go back to this restaurant. They practically give the food and wine away. Pros: Fine Food, Value, Fine Wine more

A nice change 12/17/2002

Tasca is a great place. Nice lighting. The food is very good and the sangria is awesome! Pros: Good value, Great Sangria Cons: Parking is tough more

Spanish Heat!!! 10/24/2002

Although you have to order about 6 to 8 tapas to really fill yourself up, variety is the spice of life. The tapas menu is more extensive than both Tapeo and Taberna del Haro and the Sangria is infinitely better than any other Spanish restaurant in town. Order a pitcher or two, or three and see what I mean. Pros: Great Sangria, Romanitc Cons: can get crowded, later in the night more

Step into Spain 9/22/2002

Dining here is a definite must. Great food, and an authentic Spanish atmosphere. It's like taking a vacation without leaving the city. Sit on the bar side if it's available. Staff is knowlegible and helpful for first timers. Sangria is the icing on the cake. Pros: wonderful food, unique atmosphere, one of a kind more

Something different 8/5/2002

This small litte spot on Comm. Ave. is a great, inexpensive date place. We got 5 tapas and split all of them. This gives you the chance to try many different menu items and really sample everything. The portions are small, so if you don't like it, you can pass it on. The kicker is that each appetizer (which are a vast majority of the menu) is only about $5. My date and I left full and I spent $30. I would recommend it for a change of pace, because it is something different. Pros: inexpensive, good food, good experience Cons: hot in summer more
