Tanner Medical Center/East Alabama is a more than 50,000-square-foot, three story modern hospital facility built beside the Tanner/East Alabama medical office building on South Main Street in Wedowee. Tanner Medical Center/East Alabama, which opened in November 2017, replaced the former Wedowee Hospital. Services include 24-hour emergency care, private inpatient beds, critical care support, diagnostic imaging, on-site laboratory, swing beds, a surgical suite and more.
