6PM takeout on a Monday, should be a safe bet before the dinner crowd right? No, there were no customers and they actually close by 8PM. With no customers in sight, I braved it ...

Best Ribs In Dallas 10/17/2007

I live in West Village and recently decided to give this place a try. They told me at the register that they had recently changed their menu and that their ribs were really good so I gave them a try. Boy and I glad that I did. The ribs were awesome!! The meat just melted off the bones and the sauce was great as well. I had the ribs with sweet potato fries and a strawberry banana smoothie and I will definately be coming back to this place! Pros: Food is great! Staff was nice. Great place to relax and unwind. Cons: They have a tv but it was turned off. It would be nice if they had it showing a game or something. more

Great Date Place 10/17/2007

I found this place a month or so ago while one of my girl friends and I were looking for the nail salon on blackburn and mckinney and it was pretty good and so I decided to bring my husband back for dinner. We came back that night and have been back at least 2 times a week since then. We absolutely love the pareo chicken wrap! I love the sauce, the flavor of the chicken and the coconut rice. I have to admit that when I first heard that it has coconut rice I was a little worried, but after I tried I really liked it. It didn't have a over bearing coconut flavor at all. I really like the place and I will definately continue to go back! Pros: Great food! Great Atmosphere! Cons: Non yet! more

Great Fish Tacos 10/17/2007

I have been eating here for a long time. I am a student at SMU and I love this place. They give me a 10% student discount, it is a nice quite place to study, and their food is great! I always get either the chicken wrap for the fish tacos. I also love their hot teas. They have several flavors of both hot and cold teas and I love them all! You need to give this place a try! Pros: Great food, Great Atmosphere! Cons: It would be nice if they were open a little later in the evening. more

Great Place! Great Food 10/3/2007

I don't know when the last person that reviewed this place was here but he was totally wrong. I recently moved into the neighborhood and was hesistant to try the place after reading the review but a friend of mine said it was great and so i gave it a try and boy and I was glad that I did. The staff was very friendly and informed me that they recently went though changes in management and changes in the menu and so maybe that is all it took but anyway it was great!! I had the BBQ Ribs and my friend had the Blackened Salmon Salad and we will definately go back there again. The ribs were fall off the bone slow cooked, the bbq sauce was home made and awesome, the salmon was cooked to order and the salad was very fresh! They also offer a great selection of wraps, tacos and sandwiches with fresh veggies and slow cooked meats. If you have been there before and were turned off by the food or the experience or if you have been worried about giving the place a try you really need to. You will not regret it!! Pros: Slow cooked meats, fresh fruits & veggies, great relaxed environment Cons: Parking is a little hard to find (under the Mondrian) more

No customers was a sign I ignored! 5/13/2007

6PM takeout on a Monday, should be a safe bet before the dinner crowd right? No, there were no customers and they actually close by 8PM. With no customers in sight, I braved it being my first and ordered the green curry bowl, the ribs bowl, and a pork quesadilla. Both bowls came with warm nutty creamed sticky rice (huge portions) and both bowls had the same vegetables (steamed zucchini and carrots.) The pork quesadilla was lightly grilled on thin flour tortilla. The pork and ribs came with the same (hoisin sauce type) sauce. The green curry was thick mildly flavored Thai style curry with small cubed chickens (that was it.) To put it bluntly, my wife and I couldn't eat the rice in neither dish, smelled funny and was simply unappetizing. The ribs were very dry. Ended up throwing away most of the food and took out salad from Wholefoods. First and last time we're eating from there! Sorry but be warned, I wouldn't eat it for free now! Oh, they sell sushi too! Really - Confirm their insurance coverage before ordering it please! This is not a flame review by any means; we were excited but sorely disappointed. Great friendly staff though :) Pros: Staff and quirky designs Cons: Food more
