Tagaris Winery recently opened a beautiful facility on Tulip Lane behind Barnard Griffin. It includes a gorgeous restaurant and patio area. Unfortunately, the experience there doesn't live up to expectations. On a recent visit, the wait staff seemed to resent the fact that we were there distracting them from their enjoyment of their beautiful facility. We were asked if we have a reservation. The restaurant was empty!Since we didn't have a reservation, we were told we had to sit on the patio. The menu on the patio is different from the restaurant menu. On the patio, you get a choice of four appetizers. That's all! Service was slow. When we left, the restaurant was still empty. The only wine they serve is Tagaris, which, in my opinion is barely drinkable. To top it off, their prices are very high.
