Tabula Rasa Language Academy

I sent my two kids there KG and First grade. My son was traumatized by the abuse of the first grade teacher. she even physically pushed my son because he urged with her son Who is the class same age and class with him many time outs because my son refused to share his personal snack with the Director's daughter. Kids dehydrated because they are afraid to ask to go to the bathroom because the brat teacher make jokes about them. My older daughter was a class mate with the owner she was pushed kicked and bullied a lot when my husband called about the complain the owner not only denied it but all the staff took it personal and was treated bad by other teachers and her teacher called the black kids Negro when we complained we were told to leave if we wish in the month of April . If you complain anything to the director who try to act and be white no resolution except denying it. We had 4 staff kids + some favorites the kids had the worst year ever when we get them tested for school entry they way behind because they hated school because of the teacher attitude and punishment. In their current school we are working with therapist for trauma and a tutor to catch up. more

My first child has been attending here since 6 months old and my second since 8 month old. Great program, awesome teachers, very nice facility. My second child in the pre-k program has the same pre-k teacher that my oldest one had. The program is very interesting, science oriented. Language aspect very strong, both my kids are already fluent in Spanish and French without any help from home. No doubt love the school! I wish they go to middle school. more

I have sent my children to Tabula Rasa since they were in the Mother's Morning Out program - this is our fourth year at the school! It is a wonderful program! My children are not only learning and growing as preschoolers with basics, but they are both well on their way to becoming bi-lingual. Every teacher has been wonderful. Even without the benefit of Spanish at home, both children seem to speak and understand it from school! more

My daughter has attended Tabula Rasa since she was 18 months old. Neither my wife nor I speak Spanish. Our daughter started to translate on our behalf in Spanish by age three and could read and write in Spanish by age four. She is now in Elementary School at Tabula Rasa. She started learning cursive handwriting in kindergarten and their English language education stays ahead of the public school standards by one year throughout the program. In short, she got double the language and all of the learning. In elementary school, her classroom size was 10 with half of the days in English and half of the days in Spanish. Math is done in both English and Spanish. Tabula Rasa is in my opinion twice the education at half the price because the elementary school tuition is half the cost of the other top private schools. It is closer to our home in Dunwoody so we are thankful that our daughter does not have a longer commute. Their lunch program is one of the healthiest and most affordable that I have seen in a school. Their after school program is top notch including Tae Kwon Do, piano lessons, Spanish learning, and even French afternoons. The school receives my highest recommendations for going the extra mile. The pre-school cost is absolutely comparable to other preschools, but the elementary school is one of the best values in Atlanta. To maximize value in the preschool program, I highly recommend the all day program because the language exposure is phenomenal. The one gift that you can give your child at a very young age is that of a second language. The care is consistently excellent. All of the lead teachers in every classroom at the school have certified education degrees. All of the elementary school teachers having Master's degrees. It's truly a remarkable value. more
