Delicious! 6/15/2005

Yamasan's atmosphere is a little ""divey"", but the staff is great. They are NOT located in Mill Creek, however as the last reviewer mentioned, they are located in Bothell proper in the Canyon Park area. The sushi is great and the tempura is very light and delicious. It tends to involve different vegetables from one day to the next: green beans, squash, carrots, plus shrimp, etc. Combo plates are reasonably priced. Be forewarned of the following 3 things: they are closed on Mondays; if you hit the place at the noon hour on any other day of the week, you are likely to have a farily long wait for a table; you will come out of there smelling like fried food as the ventilation is crummy. Pros: Great sushi, Pleasant staff Cons: Poor ventilation, Closed Mondays more

Worth the trip! 12/31/2004

Yamasan is tucked away in a small shopping area of Mill Creek, but it beats many of the Japanese restaraunts I have been to in Seattle! The service is very warm and friendly, though the restaraunt is very often crowded. The chicken nanban is really addicting and the sushi is really really good. Occasionally they will have sushi specials too that are worth the visit. Overall, it is expensive, like many finer sushi restaraunts, but I really felt that the experience was worth it. Pros: food, service, value more

Best Sushi! 11/14/2003

The sushi is probably the best in the Northshore area. For cooked dishes I would recommend any of the don buri dishes (rice bowls) - they are the best I've had outside of Japan. Get a table at the counter so you can watch them make the sushi. You won't be disappointed here!! Pros: Food, Service Cons: Very busy more

The best sushi 8/30/2003

My friend and I are not sushi connoisseurs, but we love sushi and have tried many sushi bars - from cheap take out places to $19 rolls at resorts. Yamasan blows everyone else out of the water. They have great rolls for the sushi-newbie to get their feet wet like the Crunchy Washington and the Idaho roll. Great sashimi and nigiri. Also available are cooked entrees that are just as tasty. The staff are the best - very friendly and helpful, and Yamasan himself is such a sweetie. Very recommended. Pros: Great rolls, Super friendly staff, Casual atmosphere more

Quality & Service Reign Supreme 7/26/2003

Yamasan's is a small place in Bothell and has become a favorite for me and my husband. His crunchy Washington is to die for and the grilled squid appetizer is excellent. The seafood is always fresh and you get personalized service from Yamasan himself. Pros: freshest fish, personal service, moderate price Cons: crowded more

Sushi to die for 7/24/2002

Yamasan has been a weekly habbit for my husband and myself for over a year now. We found it by fluke and are so glad that we did. He has the freshest fish around and the prices are incredibly reasonable. If you love sushi, be sure to try'll be very glad that you did. Pros: fresh fish, friendly staff, inexpensive more
