T-Bones On The Lake

My boyfriend and I decided to go here for our anniversary. We thought about going somewhere else since we read these horrible reviews but we gave it a shot anyway. Our waitress was wonderful, the food was delicious and the scenery was great. We had a table inside looking out on the lake. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Pesto pizza, and they forgot the chicken, but the manager Dave came by and took care of it right away. We enjoyed this restaraunt and will def. be returning! This went beyond ""not good"" right to bad! From the limp, lukewarm salad, to the instant mashed potatoes the food was terrible, and the service was not good. Steak was tough and overcooked, pasta was close to inedible, the fish was frozen, the bread was awful. I can only imagine this place stays in business because patrons are drinking enough to forget about the food! This is a great place to go in the spring/summer and hang out on the porch. I don't go for the food, or for the service, speedy is not their thing. The scenery can't be beat. It is fun for a laidback afternoon or happy hour. Pros: great view Cons: slow service more

T-Bones has really gone down hill the past few years with the food and service. I went there a few months ago with my spouse and stepchildren and were not impressed at all, after not going for a couple years. Food was bad, portions were small, no flavor, expensive prices, lazy service, ouch!! I was thinking a couple years ago we went on an off night, but apparantly not. Also, a friend of mine got kicked out of the restaurant by the owner last week for buying VIRGIN strawberry daiquaries for his daughter and her friend at the bar and went back to his table with his group. The owner, who did not have a name tag or even introduced himself as the owner to my friend asked him if there was alcohol in those drinks and he said no. Also, my friend thought that the owner was going to flirt on his daughter. Very unprofessional. Of course my friend got a little mouthy and concerned. If the owner would have introduced himself FIRST and said who he was, none of this would have happened. I have had other friends state it hasn't been good the past couple of years or so either. more

I thought that the atmossphere was kinda cool till I got my food... The steak was like leather it was small and lacked any real taste. The staff took 15 minutes to bring me ketchup for my fries and when I asked for another beer the waiter didn't bring it back till my meal was over. I went to T-Bones about 3 weeks ago, after a friend of mine told my fiancè and I that T-Bones was ""awesome"" and that we HAD to check it out. It was terrible! As soon as I opened the menu, clearly everything I saw was overpriced. $20 for a tiny steak filet! I had a question about a certain kind of wine they had, and he knew zilch about what was on the wine list, even the hostess. Unbelievable. The service we recieved was far below average. When we went, it was not busy yet, and it took forever for our food to come. Our steaks that we ordered were cooked perfectly, but it had absolutely NO flavor. I don't know if it was an off-night for the cook, but it did not meet our expectations. Try Outback Steakhouse instead....where their food is reasonably priced AND it tastes good.
