System Pavers

This is the second time we have used System Pavers. They did the top part of our drive (we live on a hill), which was 3500 sq. ft. a few years ago. The drive has held up and stayed beautiful, so when it came time to do the slope of our drive (4500 sq. ft.) we called them back out. The contractor (Jose) and crew were awesome. They went way above and beyond to make sure the work was of the highest qualify. We had a standing paver edge done along our drive. Jose suggested and added a concrete support (330 linear feet) at his own expense to make sure the edge would never come loose. I can't say enough praise for this crew. They even found a broken water pipe on the property and came back the day after the job was completed and repaired it at no cost. We plan to do some additional improvements to our property in the future and will not hesitate to call System Pavers for the stonework. more

We contacted System Pavers because the previous homeowners used them to pave the small driveway, front porch and side run. We needed to get our patio redone and decided to continue the pattern, uninterrupted, throughout the entire patio and around to the small path in the side yard of our house. The initial salesperson who came to give us the estimate was a little overzealous and gave us some misinformation about the pricing (3 thousand dollars in financing costs were not added to the original estimate), transferring the warranty for the previous owner's work (he said we could; we couldn't) and there was a change in the way they ordered the pavers for the pattern we wanted which he did not communicate (this resulted in the back patio and side path not matching the previous work.) When I saw my new work did not match the old work, I alerted the site contact, who alerted the job foreman just before the pavers were permanently set. They had to pluck out a bunch of bricks, order new ones and extend the job an extra day. I relay all of this to say, despite the setbacks, inconveniences and miscommunications, I would still recommend this company. The costumer service was impeccable (thanks, Job Supervisor Harel) and the work crew really busted their butts to give us a beautiful new patio that we were happy with in just 4 days. We live in a neighborhood on a hill and our old concrete patio was cracked and sloped downward. The crew tore out the concrete, leveled the ground and laid the pavers evenly and beautifully. It rained, and the water drained properly with no pooling and we now have a continuous and beautiful paver system that goes around the entire house and will definitely add to value to our home. Thanks to the great work of System Pavers, I now have a fabulous outdoor room and beautiful garden path. If you're considering using this company, do it. They'll work with you to make sure you're getting what you want and, if any of those inevitable mistakes happen, they'll redo the job until you are satisfied. more

We selected System Pavers because they did a great job on a driveway in our neighborhood, and we were not disappointed. From our initial contact with Louis, the design consultant, to our final walkthrough with Terry, the project supervisor, we received efficient, courteous, and professional treatment. The men who did the actual work were polite, tidy, and worked very efficiently. We were told the project would take a week - it took 2 days. If you're handing out grades for communication, this company gets an A+. Our new driveway is gorgeous and certainly enhances the curb appeal of our home. more

We are very pleased with the quality of workmanship and service on our patio project provided by System Pavers. Louis Mangene, the Design Consultant for System Pavers, was extremely knowledgeable about the product, the process, and procedures used to complete the project. He was very helpful in recommending the type and color of pavers to blend in with our flagstone steps and spa deck in our backyard. he did an excellent job in explaining exactly each step of the project. He was spot on with every step. The crew who worked on the project were hardworking and professional. Harrel Carmen, the Design Consultant who oversaw the project was excellent as well. My husband and I had our front lawn replaced with paving stones by System Pavers of Santa Ana on July 21, 2011. We are totally delighted with the finished job! It is amazing to look out at our front yard and see the beautiful random pattern of the paving stones. Our front yard has been transformed. The installers are true artisans! When people began stumbling on my sinking pavers near my front door, I knew it was time to get serious about fixing the problem. I had a local contractor install about 2700 square feet of pavers 7 years ago and watched them sink, one-by-one, throughout the years. I called System Pavers to see if they could fix the problem and their construction boss, Tom Shibuta, inspected the job and detailed for me why it had to be redone from scratch. Pavers nead excavation and road base before the sand is applied. The first contractor simply put sand on top of existing dirt and the resulting degradation of the job was only too predictable. Of course, I wasn't happy to learn that I would have to start from scratch and commit a large amount of money, but I decided that I would get the job done right this time. I got a competitive bid from a smaller company, and indeed it was lower than System Pavers by about 5%. However, I was impressed with the folks I contacted at System and particularly by their 25-year warranty. System Pavers not only came up with a beautiful new design that is far superior to the previous one I had, they also completely re-graded the driveway and patio and installed essential drains that the prior contractor hadn't even recommended. Now every time I'm out front, people driving by stop to ask questions or comment on how beautiful the job looks. Having done this twice now, I am comfortable with recommending System Pavers who are quick, professional, creative and really good at what they do. I would caution against going "low bid" on this kind of job. I did that the first time and ended up paying twice for the same large job. I wish I had used System Pavers the first time around. I doubt I would have ever had to do the job over. more

System Pavers has done an excellent with our new backyard which exceeded all our expectations. They have completely transformed the space from nothing to a resort in just a little more than a week. I have received many compliments about their work from friends and family. The whole process was stress free from sales to the completion of the work. Tyler Waidley, Ryan, and the entire crew were very professional through out the job. Tyler was very kind for dealing with my HOA for getting the approval. He was there through out the process. Ryan led a wonderful crew and kept me informed through out the work. The crew consists of the best workers I have seen anywhere. They cleaned up everyday before they leave, which I didn't expect them to. All I can say is System Pavers did a fantastic job from start to finish, and they stand behind their work. more

My wife and I are extremely happy with our new patio and walkways installed by System Pavers. We replaced our old concrete patio with Sienna stones of 4 different sizes in an Ashlar pattern. We reviewed several different stones and had samples delivered to our home to evaluate their look. We were not pressured into a decision, but took our time to get it right. The construction team did an excellent job of excavation, grading, installtion and cleanup of the site. They started and completed the job on schedule and it really looks great. I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again. more

Incredible work!! No pressure sales. I was not home during the week work was done. I received a daily update from my sales representative Louis and the Lead Supervisor Terry. They went above and beyond to keep me informed. When starting the job they discovered about 24" of my driveway that appeared to be on city land. They went, on their own, right to city hall, talked to officials and pulled a permit. This allowed my driveway to continue the extra length and looked much more finished. However they did this on their own! Some thing with some issues they found with the PVC piping for my sprinklers under the driveway. It was installed improperly but they fixed it to code for me. I cannot say enough about this company. Do you pay a bit more? Yes..but I would not trust a big job like this to a small guy and his crew. I am TOTALLY satisifed and would highly recommend this company. more

System Pavers does such good work, I've had them to my home on three occasions in a six year period. The negative reviews I read don't make any sense. I have not experienced any of those things. I love that with this company, the job foreman comes back after the job is over to make sure you are happy with the work and has anything fixed that you see fit. It is so much nicer than some contractors who think they know what you want and don't bother looking for your input before changing things up. Everyone who comes to my home compliments the work and it has held up nicely. Every few years, I give it a thorough cleaning and sealing which only makes it look a nice as the day it was first put in. It is a little expensive, but worth it when you consider that you should never have to replace it like you would normal concrete or asphalt. If I ever moved, selling would be easy, and I would definitely have it done at my new home as well. more

I would like to thank and congratulate System Pavers for the wonderful job you did in restoring and resealing my 10 year old paver patio. I have thousands of square feet of paver in my patio and driveway and within the past year we added an outdoor barbeque area where we tried to match the existing pavers. The new job turned out very nice, but where the new pavers met the old there was a clearly distinctive break where you could tell the difference between the “old” and the “new” patio areas. It was passable, but not ideal. Unfortunately we had also allowed potted plants to drain and leave alkaline water spots on the patio. We asked System Pavers if you could clean, refurbish, and reseal the “old” pavers, remove the stains, and if you thought we could improve the transition from “old” to “new”. Your salesman was very professional and honest in advising us that there would be no assurance that the procedure would work to our expectation, but we went ahead and tried it. We are now thrilled with the results!! After a two-day process of power washing, resanding, and resealing both the “old” and the “new” pavers, it looks like we have nothing but new pavers now. The old stones returned to a darker color that matched the new ones nicely, the sanding made it look like the whole patio was just laid down, the stains were cleaned away, and the sealer provides a uniform finish. The transition between the old patio and new barbeque has disappeared and looks ideal. We have always lived on our patio as much as we could, and barbequed meals are our standard. System Pavers, you have made our entire outdoor experience much more elegant and enjoyable through the restoration work you did for us. Thank you immensely for adding to the enjoyment of our patio and our lifestyle. We are very grateful for your quality work and will recommend you to anyone you’d like. The professionalism and honesty of your salesperson was admirable and because of that we were willing to take the chance that our expectations would be met, which they were. I do not normally write reviews. I have high standards and expectations for home improvement projects and, with due diligence, I find professionals that meet them. It is rare I find professionals that exceed them. System Pavers did that. From the design meetings through the installation, Tyler Waidley (Design/Project Consultant) and Mike Smith (Field Supervisor) consistently exceed my expectations for overall project management, attention to detail, communication and quality of workmanship. Our experience with System Pavers has been nothing but good. Our Design Consultant, Victor Avila, explained the process fully and gave excellent suggestions and ideas that we hadn't thought about. He told us about the options available to us and carefully explained the advantages and disadvantages of each. The work was done professionally with care and attention to detail. I was particularly impressed that Estella and Josue, the supervisor and crew leader, always kept me informed as to the progress of the project.
