pearl milk tea / boba / bubble tea!!! 3/28/2006

I personally think this is one of the best pearl milk tea shops that I've ever gone to. While there are cheaper places, the quality and taste of pearl milk tea here is just absolutely wonderful. Especially the texture and chewiness of the pearls. Try one and you'll notice the difference immediately. They also have special weekly deals on particular drinks to entice people to try out new flavors, and most of the time I've immensely enjoyed the new flavors (and at a cheaper price too!) Overall, I feel it's the best I've seen. more

Sweetheart 1/4/2006

Sweetheart is one of the bubble tea (boba) places in Berkeley. They sell a wide variety of sweet drinks and teas and the service is really fast. The place is very clean and has a large tv for customers to watch asian music videos while waiting for their orders. You should definitely try this place with some friends. more

Pearl tea and tapioca are their specialty. I enjoy their variety of peal tea drink. There are over fifty to choose from! Their prices are competitive and they offer cards. When you buy ten drinks, you get one free! This is located near the residential halls so for university students this is a big plus. more

A boba heaven 9/28/2005

Sweet heart has been nominated best boba place in Berkeley for so many years, and no wonder! I am a heavy boba drinker, and Sweet heart definitely has the best boba by far. No comparison. I don't know what they do to their tapioca to get it the way it is, but it's soft, chewy, and sweet. The cafe is also a cute little store, with pretty, neat light fixtures, and a cool colorful menu. They sell ice cream, deserts, Asian snacks, and good "real" food too. Their hamburgers and chicken strips and fried squid balls are delicious too. Sweet heart is a must try if you haven't already. I highly recommend this place. Bring friends along. They'll thank you for it. more
