Sweet Tomatoes

was in the ft. lauderdale area for the weekend and was taken here by some of my buddies. i had never been to a place like this, but i would definitely frequent one. a massive salad bar with the amount of ingredients they had would get me more interested in salads! all of the ingredients were fresh, and you could make a massive, HEALTHY, heaping meal for a very affordable price. also, i am not a fan of buffet style eateries, but this one establishment has changed my thoughts about salads and buffets so much i went back the next day before i left... GREAT PLACE! more

Go for lunch. Load up on toppings for your salad and grab a side of soup. Fresh and refreshing compared to most places. I am a local and I've never seen the lines out the door as previous posts suggest. more

I really don't like buffet restaurants at all, but I'll give this one a pass because I like their salads and soups. My relatives love to drag me here, so I go along with them. The pastas are all horrible, overcooked and watered down. The desserts leave much to be desired, if you love sweets. I go back to spend time with family and for the salads and soups. That's all I can recommend. more

I don't know if I am cursed or what? I went once , maybe on a bad night? I don't think so. Everyone I hava asked that has fallen victim to their misleading commercials, and long wait lines outside, say the same. This place sucks. Where do I begin? Nothing and I mean nothing in this place has any flavor. Is that even possible? Not one thing out of lets say the 40 items they have tastes good. The soda didn't even taste right, the salad dressing if ou can call it that, it all \r " LOOKS" great but tastes like nothing. My theory is they water down everything. Save money by using no salt , and spices, and buy everything frozen and just boil it.\r Horrible trap.\r ************************************************************\r If you are looking for a " real buffet" that doesnt cost and arm and a leg, and has great food, and lots of options.... Try this hidden secret. I live in Ft. Laud, and every now and then I will drive all the way to Hialeah for this Chinese Buffet that's great. It's called Happy Buffet, it's off of 103 near westland mall, in the Sabor Latino Publix plaza . You won't regret it. Everything I mean everything is excellent except for one thing and one thing only, stay away from the deli style ham, pasta,and seafood salads in the salad section . more

This place is probably the healthest place I eat at. Great salad bar with all kinds of choices. I love the soups too. The restaurant is always clean and the servers are quick to remove your used plates.\r \r Lastly, I love the ice cream. I take a soup bowl, not the little baby bowls next to machine, and fill the thing up with a swirl of chocolate and vanilla (see pic). So much for the healthly lunch..hahaha.
