Swede Family Chiropractic

I was in worse pain after being treated here than I was before. Someone else wrote in a review that he had accupunture done and traction - I was never offered any of that, and I don't even think they do accupuncture. All he ever did was adjustments. 3x per week for a month. No improvement, at all, just more pain. If you are looking to get only adjustments, this is probably the place for you. The nutritional advice I got?? Drink lots of water. Excersize advice? none. Before going here, I could touch my toes, put my shoes on no problem. Can't do that after going here. Also have pain going down my back side now, which i also did not have before going here. more

When I came to Dr. Doug I was in bad shape. I had been diagnosed with spinal stenosis and my L5 disc was pressing on my spinal cord. I had seen a neurosurgeon who wanted to perform a 5 hour operation, put a rod and screws in my back and keep me in the hospital for 4-5 days. I decided to go with alternatives - adjustment, traction and accupuncture. The combo of the 3 has helped me tremendously. My back is straighter and I'm in a lot less pain. . After years of abusing my body at work, home, and at almost 50 I started listening to the people around me (and my back). I was always sceptical of chiropractors and the thought of someone possibly hurting me worse than my daily pains had already gotten scared the hell out of me. I swore to myself and to Dr Doug that I would never allow him to touch my shoulders as both rotator cuffs have been torn for years. Well recently the pain had gotten very bad and I broke down and reached out for help. I love this place! I am always greeted by a cheerful and helpful Carrie Ann. Dr. Doug is always up beat, honest, helpful, sincere, and passionate about what he does. I have learned so much since I have been under his care, especially the fact that regular chiropractic checkups help my body function better all around, and that it is able to heal on its own...so cool! There is also a great space for kids to play while they are waiting to get their check ups. Dr. Doug recently added another chiropractor to his office (Dr. Kyle) who is equally as passionate. My wife dragged me to Dr. Doug, kicking and screaming I might add. I labeled chiropractors as witch doctors and told Dr. Doug the same when I met him.
