As far as hospitals go this is average. Sutter has all the same services available as most large hospitals. It is an older hospital and they are currently building a new facility....

A caring place 9/16/2005

When I read the previous review for this hospital I was surprised and had to add mine. My experience was quite different. I was sent to the ER by my insurance nurse help line and upon arriving was taken very quickly to a room. They took the usual information and I saw the doctor fairly soon. To be sure they were correct with the diagnosis they even called in their ultrasound tech. at 3 a.m. The next morning I received a call at home from the attending physician to make sure I was doing okay. They professionally set up follow up appts and made me feel comfortable with the procedures. Though it is a older hospital the location is nice and I would choose this hospital again if necessary. more

A long ER wait 8/9/2005

As far as hospitals go this is average. Sutter has all the same services available as most large hospitals. It is an older hospital and they are currently building a new facility. The ER is slow and they seem to always make you wait, I have yet to see anyone get rushed right in. If you are not careful you could get lost in ER, if they take you to radiology they can forget you. It happened to me. The ER doctor is slow to see you, even when it seem as if there are only a few people. We had to wait 7 hours and finally tell the nurse we were leaving before the ER doctor finally came around! Not ok. Maybe this is how all ER's are?! more
